The reciever antenna on my Maxx was severed at the top of the Antenna tube. Guess I rolled it to much or something. Anyway the radio range just ain't what it used to be. I could get a new reciever for $28 .... seems like a shame when all I need is a new antenna wire. Does anybody know where I get one? Also how long is it supposed to be ??? I cound not find the piece that got severed.

Just go to radio shack and get a piece the same guage. I believe it should be about 18 inches long. The thing is youll need a fine tip iron if your going to solder it to the circuit board and be careful not to make a mess. You could buy a little extra wire and first try and solder enough to the end to make up for what was lost. I've done that already with great success.

If you'll search on www,maxxtraxx.com on the past radio forum you see the length and guage. Besure and soldier the wire ;then measure from the soldier joint and cut the wire. Soory I just don't remember at this time.
