Any one ever use a Nova Top Fuel electronic speed controller is it worth 40 new?

I remember a company way back in the late 80's called Nova, I wonder if it is the same company? Anyways, I never saw one of their speedos in the flesh only in magazine advertisements and at the time their big claim was that they were the smallest speedo on the market. The only thing I ever heard about them is when I called my Local HS and asked if they had any of their speedos or could get them and the guy replied to me "They are junk", lol:D So if that is any indication, I don't know. I never heard of anyone using them so the only thing I have to go by is what the guy at the HS told me and that was a long time ago.
