I just bought some matched 2000's and need a decent charger for stock racing. Someday, I will probably move up to better batteries, but for now, the 2000's will work fine.
Any suggestions on a charger? Please provide more than just the "slang" name since I probably will not know what you are talking about since I am just getting back into the sport.
Thanks a lot folks,
Looch

I would go with the MRC Superbrain 959. Ive had mine about two weeks and it does a great job, It gets a little hot after charging continues packs, but I just point a fan at it and its fine. Its a digital peak charger, and you can pick it up for around 50 bucks.:)

You can also check out the Duratrax Intellipeak Charger. Only 54.99 at tower and has a 1 year warnaty. I also point a fan at my charger when I am charging more then one pack.

I like my INDY 16x3 pro, It has a built in fan and you can charge up to the new 3000s with it. Its about $130.
I suggest either the Novak Millenium Pro or The Competition Electronics PitBull. If you arn't racing, the Duratrax chargers are still good, but the Millenium Pro and PitBull are both "Pro" level chargers, but are yet not all that expensive.
Both chargers run about $170, and you need a powersupply, which can run from about $100+
The Novak N-Power or a Rivergate are both popular/good choices.

looch,
you can also check out the websites, the manufacturers post info on the products. This will give you an idea of what you are getting.
Orion, Integy, Duratrax (Tower Hobbies), Novak, Competition Products, Hobbico (tower hobbies). Tekin is questionable now a days, nothing on them for over 2 years although their website is still up. Look for R/C manufactuerers link on front page.

Buy the best charger that you can afford. Not only will your packs run better, they will last longer. I personally would suggest the Novak Millenium Pro, or the Pitbull. It is better to save a little extra money and get a top of the line charger. You will be able to better take care of your batteries.

The indy also comes with AC/DC capability built in no need for a power supply.

The Intellipeak Digital also has a fan (actually 2) and sells for around $100.
