I'm thinking of getting a monster truck. What would be the best ruck to get? I have experience with nitro trucks and planes, so I know something about nitro.

Local Parts. Monster Trucks break parts so unless you don't mind down time or have a CC to buy on-line, having parts available locally can make all the difference on whether a truck is fun or not.
I have a MP and an E-Pede, I like both. I buy most of my parts on-line. I looked at the T-Maxx and I think maybe next year I may still buy one. Main reasons I went MP over T-Maxx was the tires were bigger on the MP (size does matter :)), MP came with a .21 (.21 Hyper) and worked out to be about $50 cheaper with the kit w/.21 and a cheap controller.

Thunder Quake The best suspensionon on a 1/8 scale Monster truck. Its the biggest size wise. Has .21 power (1.7hp) 2-speed/reverse its fast too. All metal gears. 1 year warranty on suspension arms, and the other stress-tech parts. Comes with a Futaba radio.
Hi torque Metal geared steering servo. You can get it for $460 RTR right now at TowerHobbies
OR if your a power enthusiest the TTR EK-4 MT. It will cost a good deal more ($500 just the truck & engine) but you get a .70 size engine Wheelies unlimited. Its just a little smaller (L x W) than the Thunder Quake.

I would get the T-Maxx. It was designed to be a Monster Truck since the first day they thought about making one, while all others(Except for the Kyosho MegaForce) are just buggies, with new tires, a new body, and bigger tires(the exception is the Thunder Quake, which has longer arms).

My advise is that if there are alot of T-maxx's you want to run with get it. If you want a .21 buy the Thunder tiger or thunder quake. Converting a T Maxx to a .21 is very expensive to do it right. The T Maxx with a .15 is about the best jumping machine in my opinion.
