Hello:

I really liked everything I saw about the T-MAXX. What turns me off is that it appears to come pre-assembled.

I enjoy building challenging kits. Do you guys have any suggestions for me? Something that has the same look and performance as the T-MAXX, perhaps? Thanks.

As soon as I got my first maxx, i took it out of the box, tore it down and then built it back up. You'll probably spend less time dis-assembling it than you would trying to figure out and ensure how certain parts fit correctly as you'll have already seen how they're supposed to go upon breaking it down.

Your truck looks awesome. Thanks for the pics.

It appears that it has electric motors. Any pros/cons concerning electric vs. nitro.

I dont know much about performance, but I always liked the sound of my old Kyosho nitro truck!

Electrics: Pros.....you don't have to tune any carb or get it started. Just plug in your packs and go. Much cleaner with no exhaust gunking everything up. Much quieter.(my neigbors much prefer when I run my electrics.)
Cons......Battery packs last only a fraction of the time that a full fuel cell will and you have to wait for the motors and esc to cool before you dump another pack or two in the truck.

Nitro.........Already pointed out most of it, but you already know since you have a maxx. Once you've got your engine fired and tuned right, you can go all day with out stopping. Can't beat that sound and smell either.

In my normal fashion I installed it in one sitting. But it took me from about noon on Sat to about 8am Sun to get it done.
Normal people take 2-3 days. I get obsessed quite easily

hhahahaha. Jeep, 20 hours straight eh? I agree thats pretty obsessive. I'm guilty of being obsessive myself, but I can't say or remember it being to the point of going 20 hours straight to complete a task. Not saying my obsession won't make me do such a thing, just that I don't think I've been challenged with such a thing. Makes me want to get a TXT just to see if I can hang with your levels of obsession :). Thats cool. I feel ripped off now that my EMAXX robbed me of that opportunity :).

My obsession usually involves skipping meals and high levels of energy throughout. I can use the bathroom in probably half the normal alotted time when in obsession mode.

Aveox? I don't remember you saying you installed the brushless into your TXT. I thought you got a 19 turn, EVX, or something like that. I was wondering why you opted to get new powerplant instead of throwing in your aveox, but I guess you did. Why'd you remove it?
