I have done it. After hours of work and aroung $150, I have found the ultimate T-maxx suspension setup. I don't know if the world is ready for it but here it is:
Front-
Traxxas Big Bores
Trinity 40wt. oil in all four (its purple hehe amtches anod')
Trinity Monster Spring Set (no pre-load)
RPM Two-stage shock pistons (red)
Rear-
Traxxas Big Bores
Trinity 40wt. oil in all fours
Trinity Monster Spring Set (no pre-load)
RPM Two-stage shock pistons (green)
This setup has given me the edge in racing b/c of the high ground clearnce while still having good suspension action with the springs keeping the tires firmly planted. Also this setup has been great for bashing because of the stiff setup and the ability to make much tighter turns with the active suspension. Just make sure not to fill the shocks too much or the piston will poke the bladder and may cause the cap of the shock to come off.
If you don't belive me then try it for yourself. The spings are $20 for 8 and the oil is $3 to do the whole truck. You don't really need the big bores but they add to durability. Have fun! Please PM me with any other setups that work really well or any comments on this setup.
