I'm new to the scene, got a tmaxx with a picco .15 engine and after a few problems I finally got to run it today. I checked all the bolts on it before I left, and even tightened the ones to the pullstart but I lost all 4 of those bolts running it. I just recovered from the flywheel/clutch assembly falling off. I've already read a little on the board, and used locktite on that. Now it seems like I need locktite on the pullstart bolts too. Is that correct?

2) What else do I need to make sure has locktite on it before I have another mishap?

3) Since it doesn't have the stock motor on it where can I see detailed instructions on tuning the one I have?

4) I don't have reverse. I've read that if it idles too high it won't shift, and that there are lockout kits or something to keep it from accidently going into reverse. I've tried to manually shift it into reverse but it's not trying to go backwards for me. Any ideas?

5) When I let off the throttle the brakes seem to come on automatically. It actually flipped over forward a couple times because of that. Is that what it's supposed to do or is it supposed to like coast????

help on your issues
1. yes loctite the starter screws..
2. loctite all screws that go into metal.
3. start with 2 1/2 turns out on top end and 1 1/2 turns on low end..then adjust according to temp and performance
4. check the servo operation of reverse..make sure it travels well and that the spring on the linkage is holding it in reverse..try putting it in reverse before you start it and see what happens.
5.adjust your brake linkage to be looser when at idle..just slide the collar a little further..

that should get ya started

another thing is to wash the bolts in alchohol before you thread lock them and dont touch them with your fingers or the oil on your fingers wont make the thread lock as strong but if you clean them in alchohol then you remove all the dirt an it will hold alot better.
