Just wanted to know if any racers were interested in making an RC club in the San Francisco area. Or just want to race and get beaten by me! enhancer4psx@hotmail.com
They do impromptu racing at the Colma BART station parking lot top deck on the weekends. Wanna go up there and get your tail handed to you on a platter? It's a treated concrete oval...
Most people run 1/10 TC's up there but there have been a few 1/8 and 1/10 On-Roads, 1/8 buggies (yours truly), T-Maxx (me again), some electrics (too slow - moving chicanes!), and some other odd cars. It's mostly for fun.

What? Are you messing around with me? I live right by there, in fact I go to Westmoor Highschool. I'll be there with either a Duratraxx Streetforce (stock), Super Nitro RS4 (.21 ofna, all aluminum), Rustler (stock), or my TC3 (team, 9 turn motor, 2400mah Sanyo. If i go there and there's no one there, I mah be hella pissed.
RexRyder, I sent you an email response to the email you sent me but it bounced.
Basically, people show up around 10:00 and leave around 3:00 on Saturday and Sundays a smaller crowd shows. Bring what'cha got. They race in the middle section around the lightpoles in a counterclockwise direction. Don't go clockwise as you will crash and everyone will be upset with you.
Hmm , I think ill go this weekend , depending on the weather or course..
Ill prolly bring my , E-Stampede , T-Maxx or RC10gt.

We went on Sunday. It was cold but it wasn't bad. We'll probably go again this weekend if it doesn't rain.

What was everyone running?
My brother and I were running our V-One R's. I also brought my NMT Racer. A lot of people run HPI NRS4's, mostly with MT12's. There was an MRX3 up there and a Serpent Impact. I'll bring my T-Maxx, just to be different.

How did you get there? Mabye since you live so close to me I can meet you at bart or something.

If I get there this Saturday it'll be early afternoon, probably after 12:30 or 1:00pm because I have to work that morning.
I saw the green Super with the Hyper 21 but didn't see it run. I had to leave because my daughter was hungry and wet (diaper!) and I had to get her home to change and feed her as he was warming it up.
It was a melee up there on Saturday! Too much of a turnout. Too many people on all of the frequencies, causing too much damage. Glad I had to baby sit!

someone crashed there impact into a curb, it was going like 50-60 miles.
You mean they dont check the freq's?
I dont want my new GTP to go WOT into a curb :eek:
I have some really rare crystals that ill use just in case :D :D
That was my buddy's MRX3. Luckily it didn't sustain too much damage from the impact.
Yeah, the frequencies need to be watched.

BTW, the impact speed was probably no more than 40mph or so, not even close to 50.

What had happened was the wiring for the throttle servo had fallen out and became abraded on the ground; the signal wire got chewed through and effectively locked the throttle servo open at about half-throttle. The only damage that was really serious, was a cracked upped deck and busted front swaybar. The mounting tabs on the servo broke off, but as I said it's being repaired now.

beware of the GT-4 with a black and white M3 body on it, that thing is fast, the driver(me) is the s@#% and the car is "dialed" see ya'll there on sat. to bad the only thing u guys are going to see is the tail end of my GT-4. I also have a question for you guys why is it that there are people with full option cars that get smoked by my stock rtr GT-4.:rolleyes: :rolleyes: :( :eek:

I knew that would get sombody attention cause this thread was dead any body know what size and thread pitch the screws for the carb on the yokomo engine are??????????????????
I thought it was 3mm metric.
I guess things have simmered down up there lately. Good thing, too, since there have been days where you can't really run without interfering with someone else's frequency.
I'm going to miss this weekend but will try for next weekend.
