OK, so how does one start the transition to 3d aerobatics? What would be a good plane and engine combo?

Check out the E3D design by Gary Wright. Gary Wright Model Products http://gwmp.net/. The E3D is the ONLY electric plane I have ever seen do full blown 3D manuvers like Hover and torque roll and knife edge loops, etc. It's awsome and affordable. Be sure and watch the videos.
