I searched the AMA's website (http://www.modelaircraft.org) for any registered clubs in your area and didn't find any. Since I don't live in Florida, I'm not familiar with the surrounding areas and thus couldn't search them myself.

Try doing your own search by using the search-by-state page (http://clubs.in-touch.net/amadistrictiii/Locator%20Club%20State.asp) that the AMA links to. The list is quite long and sorted by city, so hopefully that will help you. You can also access the AMA's other search options by going to their website and clicking on Membership Services -> AMA Club Search.

Good luck! Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you.

Glad to hear you've got a close one. :) It's much nicer that way.

There's a club about 20-minutes away from me, but since I only fly electric park flyers (and only occasionally at that), I choke on the $150/yr. club fees and $50/yr. AMA fees. $200 is most of my flying budget, so I really can't see spending it just for optional flying privileges. I guess that's why I love park flyers, school fields, and parks!

Good luck with your club pursuits. With so many clubs in Florida, I hope the competition helps keep down the costs. :)
