I've been on radar at 175+mph on my motorcycle at daytona and wintessed 200+mph top speed runs on modded up motorcycles, but that thing looks just phuqing fast as hell!!!!!

yeah I downloaded the video, thinkin that you could watch it go around but you couldnt!!!!:eek: just think if you were that guy that sits in the mittle and helps the car get its rpms up slips and his foot hits that cable when the car hits full speed at about 205mph!!! man that(if it didnt sever your leg off)would hurt like a &*$%^* in the morning!

Poolboy - that's a Picco .60 (10cc) marine engine, modified for tether racing.

If the guy in the center falls down, not only will he get hurt but imagine what would happen to the car if the rope started to change length! If the rope snapped, there will be nothing left to the car once it smacks into the wall at 205 mph and the audience will suffer like getting hit by shrapnel from a grenade!

What gives? I tried three times now to download the video and when I go to unzip the file, I get a message that says there are no files in the zip package. I get nothing.

I've downloaded a few videos off RCCA and have never had this problem. What am I doing wrong? Or is there somehting wrong with the file?

I'd really like to see what everyone is talking about!!

what type of car was it on road, dragg, touring, and if its a on road car like urs that went 100 what gives u worked hard to get urs as fast as it gose and it took alota work did they have a poffecinal desing team or somthing?? if hey can ge it to 200 u coul get it to atlest 175 cmon ur like the rc god and i wached the video those dont seam like rc cars but like u contro ones and y did the guy have to spin them around like that was the gearin relley tight

p.s did u relley use tabasco and olive oil as a replecement for nitro when u ran out if so how did it work

I can't watch any of the videos, hires or low, realplayer or windows media. It downloads then says file does not begin with pdf, or something.

You need an ftp client program like Smart FTP or Cute FTP to do it. You could also get someone to send you the file through IM but I can't help ya that way because I'm on a router and have never been able to send files like that since I hooked the router up, and I'm too lazy to figure it out.

RC10 If you havent got it yet, I got the same thing when I downloaded Real player, Corrupt file.. So I down loaded the windows media and it worked great.

What kind of wheels, axles, bearings, bodies, chassis, etc. do they use to stand up to 200MPH+ speeds?

You guys keep talking about how much it would suck to be the guy in the center. If it were me.... that would be the ONLY place I would want to be.

Think about this.... if the string broke, you are the only one that is out of it's potential path. The car would ALWAYS be going away from you. I would hate to be the people watching, cause they are the targets.

Think about it this way. When you tie a rock on a string, and spin it really fast....the rock can NEVER hit the hand that is spinning it...... JUST DON'T SLIP!!!

Yeah it is all about physics. Centipetal acceleration and crap. Whenever the sting breaks, the car would go in a path tangent to the circle at the direction the instant the car is free and make it so that there is no more centripetal acceleration anymore. So that means that it will break into a million pieces when it smashes into the wall at whatever angle it hits at. Then all the "shrapnel" will pretty much shoot at the people that is in that path that it breaks off at and that is not pretty. I won't want an aluminum engine cooling head to hit me at 200mph!
