I know the real meaning of the hobby tonight as I sit here typing this. To have fun.

I raced my Evader on carpet track today. I got 3rd overall, and had the most fun in a long time.

I was pleased, even though I was just driving for fun I got that place. I got DMF first heat because of something, and I think good in the second, first in third, and third in main because I rolled and my batt flew out.

I had great fun, and even marshalling was good except when I got hit.

Now I will share my pics

Shows the Evader really is better than just a basher.

What class did you run in?

I never used traction compound either, and my truck stuck to the track., better than some others.

Maybe too good?

Fun at lunch break:

Since it was the first day, yo uoculd run anything, so I ran the stock motor.

Me and a friend traded pinions, I traded my slow 21 tooth to him, and that made him win races, and he traded me a 28 tooth which made me win race.

Crying for JOY?

I asked my friend who took the pics "do you see dinosaurs or flames?"

"Dinosaurs," came the reply. :p

One of the racers in the TC class was like "Oh I like your paint job."

"It came factory like that," said I.

Good job man! I think the evader should be very competitive on carpet tracks, since the chassis flex wont really matter, but to be a serious off-road racing truck, I think it needs to be a little stiffer.

BTW, anyone know if there's going to be an evader buggy? Just wandering.

Congrats! It's not always the car that wins, it's the driver. If you drove a different truck you probably STILL would have fared well!

I love the people that trash talk traxxas's. A maybe soon to be friend (i talk to him alot about r/cs and cars) he said he has a gt and that traxxa sucks and bla bla bla, i asked when the last time he ran his gt was.... 2 years ago! lol

i told him i beat gts and other trx's with my nitro rustler. Heck i took first my thrid race! And all of these other racers had been racing all year!

"Holllywood" from a sucky radio station (they play rock, hip hop, rap, what ever is hot so every one will listen) raced i won that weekend (two weekends after i won my first one). he told me dont come back here if your going to win all the time. lol

Errr...no idea what the above post is saying. If you crash bad with ANY RC, it can/will break. Even if you just NUDGE something your car can break!!

jimster, how big was the jump? 50ft.! BTW, isnt duratrax supposed to replace broken parts for free?

Jim,
that sucks about your Evader. Call Duratrax and tell them what you broke. they have stress tech guaranteed parts that aren't supposed to break for a whole year. You should be able to get your broken parts for free from them. Good luck.

Pudder,
great job man! i wish i could do that well in my first race! does the stock evader pull wheelies? if so thats pretty cool cuz my stock T3 can't do that. (it will once i get my P-94 in it though lol) anyway congrats and i'm glad you had fun.

You must be a $hit driver to do that !
BTW, unless you want to get flamed, don't flmae any1 or thing on this forum - it pisses me off.

Thanks Rick.

No, they won't pull wheelies stock, weight distribution is too good for that, a good thing. It does have great acceleration too.

Use a 25 tooth pinion, it flies.

My friend with his Traxxas Blue Eagle was good. His foams didn't fit, so he found some tires to use before practice. His battery flew out during racing like 3 times, and he regained most, if not all of those laps he lost, and his drive shaft came off and he got it back up and running, even with all this happening, he got second.

One race, the final race of the day for our class, he was 2 laps up on all the other trucks, his batt flew out, the other trucks got the laps back, he got back on and passed them all again.

Pudder, have you broke anything yet?

pudder
01-19-2002, 06:28 PM
Yes I have. Mostly from stuid things. I was doing 5 foot jumps inside landing on cement, and landing weird from my driving, I broke a gearbox case doing those jumps. Next, I broke the front bumper by hitting a metal pole on something at full speed, I just crasked the front of the bumper. Last weekend I friend my ESC (must have been defective) and broke the steering horn. It has been a great truck though, and those mishaps haven't set me back much at all.

Poolboy51

your a good driver I guess cuz I hit the base of my b-ball hoop @ 5-9mph and I broke like 9 things (bulkhead, shocktower, skid plate, front top brace(over steering servo), those lil' things that attach the shocks to the a-arms, lost numerous washers, e-clips, etc, etc, etc.) I'm considering selling it. :(

Hey what tires are thouse. If someone asked sorry. I didnt feel like reading the whole thing.

I remember i won first place with my new Factory Team GT. A kid almost whacked my Face with the antina to his raido and made me wreck. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted.

If you are asking about my tires, they are foam tires.

In the springtime, once indoor is done, I will prolly take the tires and drive them on crapy pavement, haha.
