OMG a nitro mini [Archive] - Radio Control Zone

On Buy HPI! (HPI's online store) they have a poll on whether or not people would buy a nitro mini there was a resounding yes, do you all think this would ever come to fruition?? (sp) Mini is 1/18 right?

No, the Mini is more of a 1/12 scale car.

Actually the Mini is a short wheelbase 1-10 scale, long discontinued. The MICRO is 1-18 th scale, and there is no room for a feasible nitro option...

I think it would be sweet if HPI released a Nitro Mini and used say a .049". Or some other smaller aircraft engine.

Nitro, I believe you mean the "Micro". fitting a fuel tank, throttle/brake servo, steering servo, reciever battery, and an engine is HARD.

Nitro, the Nitro Mini(Roughly 1/12 scale) used to be sold, and was discontinued.

sorry, dont have a cam.
It is not very hard. i cut the rear brace to fit a .061 norvell engine and have a fuel tanh where the batts went and without the speed control there is room to put a servo.

Actually, they could make a nitro Micro, they would just need to use a Cox size motor, like the one in the Bolink Nitro Legend.

Surely someone you know has a digital camera, Video camera, or scanner!Where did you find a flywheel,clutch & clutchbell small enough to fit?:rolleyes: How did you rig up a brake system for it?

Now where did I put my boots?:D

The Mini cars made by Tamiya, HPI, and Elite were listed as 1/10th scale cars when using the Mini Cooper body. All of the other bodies made for the Mini chassis were listed as 1/12th.

i used a the stuff out of a bolink legend. it took some cutting and and i used tirnbuckes for someof the braces to be smaller.

and i live in a hick town north port fl. nobody has computers! i have one becouse i moved here from tulsa,ok.

i am talking about the hpi micro.:D
