Has anyone tried these awesome little race cars? In the Cleveland area it is the fastest growing class in onroad racing. The cost(less than $100 is one factor, but the competition I think is the biggest deciding factor. We had 3 heats of BRP cars racing this past Sunday. They were combined for 2 nine car mains. I think our high this season was 28 cars. Almost everyone races the SC18 version of the car, a few run the FunWons model. A few of the other mini cars have tried to compete but they don't handle as well in the turns. These cars a more like an older 12L car in the suspension area.

My little BRP car is great (truck acually). But my biggest problem is it's high center of gravity... when you try to turn even a little at speed, they rol... and roll... and roll... and keep on rolling. But it is fun.

Frank >>> Do you have one of the old style cars with the kydex chassis? We did have some troulble with that on carpet with the med. compound front tires. The new car has a very low C.G. and should not be rolling. Let me know.

It's one of the old ones I guess... with the kydex chassis. Got it many years ago... well before the fun-wons came out.

2slow00 >>> We had a awsome race with the 1/18th cars this past weekend! Terry Rott built a special 1/18th scale size track that was pretty demanding.
We spanked the Micros that were there even though they were modified and the track was slick! Lots of intrest in these little cars as there was a crowd around the track to watch each race, it was real cool.
I changed to the med front tires to get more steering on the small track and picked up two laps over qualifing and won the A main :D
See you sunday at the Brat!

Good job Bud. I gave Bill some battery bars and shrink wrap last night he's raring to race Sunday. Haven't heard from Frank, I told him of your generous offer of the free rental. I see on the other site the some other type of cars may show up at the Brat, good luck to them they'll need it.:D
