tmaxx dual exhaust

do those dual exhaust pipes really improve engine perfomance - or should i just stick with a tuned pipe?

i hear that ( and makes sence) when useing dual ex, the fuel lays in the exhaust pipe and causes too much back pressure ,, in case blocks the exhaust from breathing properly ,,,
