im going nuts here i own a $500.00 table orniment,i have been in r/c 4 -10 years and havent been this stumped on a motor since the very begining, this truck will not run at everybody elses settings,i have tried the factory settings, the truck wont hit a lick,i go to the info on the forums (2-1/2 on high,2-1/2 on midrange,2-1/2 on low nothing wont even start to fire,if i go with 2 on high 2 on low it will start ,blow oil everywhere and die if i take off the ignighter immediatly,i dont want to go lower on the settings because i dont want to scatter this motor,it starts very easy @ 2-2-2 it will run great intill the ignighter comes off,not getting hot by no means it wont burn off the water test for about 13-15 seconds after its dropped on even after the truck has been running for 5 minutes setting still,so what should i do?i am using byrons 10% nitro 20%syn blend heli, boat airplane mix , is this the reason ? come on guys im not new to r/c but am to this forum/computer stuff please give me info so i can try the changes quick right now its just setting there on my kitchen table taking up space, driving me insane ,the padded room is coming soon so help me as quick as possible:confused:

Iam a tmaxx owner and this is the motor you are refering to I hope?
I had my engine replaced in the Traxxas exchange plan. When I opened the box and checked out the new motor,it had a defective carb on it.The barrel was real lose and sloppy. So the shop gave me another carb to use.It worked fine after that.

If he bought it from the same places we bought our 2, they won't take it back.

We bought one of ours from our local Hobby Town. After talking to TTR, they were nice enough to offer us 1/2 credit if we returned it.

We paid $540.00 and they offered us $270.00 for it about a week and a half later.

We are waiting patiently to see if TTR/ACE can get it worked out, then if not, we might have to try the CC dispute avenue for the first time ever.

P.S. jkm6968, atleast your fires up. The one we have that is still whole won't even fire. No matter where we set the Carb, change the glow plug and igniter, prime it, remove the plug and the fuel line to clear it out. IT JUST WON'T FIRE.

Boy'I almost preordered one. Think the the lord I didn't . I know it doen't make you feel any better but I gotten two cars that wre just as bad when I got them as they were coming out. That's what held me back this time. I suggest you blitz Thunder Tiger with e-mails complaining of the quaility and asking what their going to do about fixing them. You might even complain to the BB that its a defective product. Makes you wander about RCCA as I've read nothing but bad experinces with them. good luck
