Do a search for "monster pirate" or "MP" in this section and you'll find quite a few discussions on the MP.
I really like mine, though I don't have really anything else to directly compare it to.

Hi,
I got my mp today. The first thing I recognized are the
amazin tires, but I wonderd about the bad shocks and
springs. Probably you US guys have others than mine.
That monster is called here Impuls XXL.

They have weak bulk head that support the diffs and arms. They break at the top upper arms on the gearbox. Another bad part about this truck is that it's very heavy. Other than that it's a great truck for it's price. Nothing beats it. I just wish people speak out more on the negative parts so all of us would be informed.

gixxer tell that to the maxxers.. as far as most maxxers are concerned.. its a perfect truck.. never flips and has never broken in the year they have owned it.
Anyway.. i dont know about the upper arm part of the bulkhead breaking. ive never broken the upper arm portion..
ive broken the lower arm part of the bulk.. but it was from a crash.. and rear bulkhead broke from clipping a post..
But as for a weak design.. that always breaks.. i disagree... if you hit something, especially with the giant tires, the leverage will snap the bulk.. But u shouldnt be smacking into things. I Will say its weak because of the way its designed.. but no so weak its a problem. Alum bulkheads are only 28 dollars anyways.. from www.rcconcepts.net so no biggy.
The suspension needs some work.. and can be fixxed for relativly little cash..
So overall great truck.. lots of fun w/ all the power and the big tires.. Lots of hopups are available for it as well. You will need to modify the shocks (cost free) to improve the suspenion.. or step it up and spend around 70 dollars and make the suspension great.
You cant beat the driveline. its quite durable and handles some of the most powerfull plants w/o breaking apart.
