My friend has a Aveox brushless motor and ESCand it screams like a raped ape. Aveox has been making brushless motors for like 5 years, they have perfected their ESC. My friend runs 1 motor and 6 cells in series and it is very very fast, but when he goes to 12 cells the thing is absolutely INSANE. It will wheelie at 20mph, it is sight to behold.

The ONLY BL motor system designed for the E-Maxx is the ModelTech B5X series. These will blow any other motor clean away. I have seen pics of driveshafts literally tied into knots using only 1 of these motors. They can be run on a Max of 10 cells with the reversing controller, or 12 with the forwards only one. Of course there have been some people to run 2 10 cell packs in parallel, insane. And they are better than the stock setup using only 1 6 cell pack and 1 BL motor. I have one of the smaller Modeltech motors in my elec Pede and on 6 cells it is untouchable. The Pede could not handle any more than this, but the motor for the Maxx is just awesome - check out http://www.modeltech.co.uk for all the info. Also the customer service is second to none and there is a whole forum about this on maxxtraxx!

Blob, no the mip's cant handle 2 bl's. I have seen a mip shaft with 16 cells on it get turned into splintered wood. The only ones that will hold up are SM shafts. www.unlimitedengineering.com
