I went to Hobbytown today and bought a Megatech .16 rated at 1 hp@33,000 rpm. I didnt go until around 6 PM to buy it so I havent even run it yet. I also bought a Nitro 'Pede 16T clutchbell but wouldnt work because of the bearings that I had were too big.
Will this motor pull the front wheels up from a standstill with the stock clutchbell???
And another thing , Can I break the engine in with Trinity Monster Horspower Fuel? or should I use Blue Thunder??? Thats the only fuel they sell around here so thats what Im stuck with.

Follow what the instructions say. I'm pretty sure either fuel will work though. You put this in a T-maxx, right?

Yeah I put it in my T-Maxx. I havent touched the high speed or low end needles cause the papers said they were pre set already.

I got it broke in today and started tuning it. I coould tell it had a load of torque because even at a rich setting it would pull the front wheels off the ground a little. I am having problems setting the high end needle though. This is only my 2nd Nitro car so I really dont know much about tuning..
I did what it said on the paper about letting it warm up then pinch the fuel line and if it revs up real high its too rich and if it doesnt rev up before it dies its too lean. I got it to where it would rev up a small amount before it cuts off. So I know the low speed mixture is correct but then I try to adjust the high end needle and at 3 turns out it will bog and cut off. 2 turns out seems like the best setting so far but I am thinking it is too lean cause if anything it barely goes faster than my old TRX .15 engine in the top speed department but as for the torque the megatech would eat the TRX alive!!!

well try 2 1/2 turns out and dont compar that engiin to ur old one
thats a bad bad thing to do the resone it seems not as fast as ur old trx .15 iss that u need to have it geared for the touk of the engin get a bigger clutch bell mabey the 20 tooth pede bell would be good i get a 22 tooth for my pede to cot down on weelies when i run this car

Ok I got it pretty well tuned today , It will now pull a small wheelie at a standstart and has the same if not better top speed as the trx .15 pro engine so I am happy. And torque well lets just say it would probably sling a stock T-Maxx around like a rag doll if you chained the two together. Now all i gotta do is get the bearings for the 16t clutchbell.

I am and have been the proud owner of " The Gun" or M-16 as you call it and if you remember back some months I posted a test of the engine and some as expected shot down the budget engine of my ride and said "we prefer to buy quality products and not use such bargain material" well now what? , every one praises the "the Gun" like I did when I slipped it almost right in (another story) and for $85.95 I smiled for some time that night.:D

I picked mine up yesterday, and i'm just about done breaking it in. It starts better then my O.S, but I'm not sure wheter it will have more power or not.
