Mine crashed due to something ruining my compression within 10 tankfuls of fuel and I had to send the engine back to ACE. I'm not impatient nor am I an amateur when it comes to breakin in engines.
I sent it back 2weeks ago and have yet to receive the replacement. Not a good deal.
I wish I would have waited to purchase this truck. I should have waited till TTR fixed the kinks...now I'm just waiting... :(

Mine is resting on the shelf for 2 weeks waiting for a rim from TTR, my LHS finaly got ahold of TTR on tuesday and were told it would ship on monday? I hope. As to date ther customer support has been spotty, I know they moved but that is no reason not to respond to email and phone calls. The upgrades, why is TTR not going to offer ther cooling head for the 70pro as oem but as a option I question the 90 pro motor IMO we will have another paper weight unless this is a all new design with better materals. AS it has been said TTR rushed this kit to market I hope they stand behind it and make it right. For me if this is not solved this will be my one and only TTR kit.

...rushed to market??? I saw a posting AND picture of the EK-4 in RCCA around February of 2001! That gave TTR 10 months to get it right and they still put out a glitchy product. I'm sure they had it on the drawing table b4 that date.

I am glad I didn't read these posts before I bought mine. I might not have bought it then. I hate to hear of so much trouble people are having with them. I have had very good luck with mine. I learned very quick that everything had to have better thread lock applied. I hope my luck continues because this thing is a blast to drive.

My engine is running great. I think most of the problems with the engines are the ones that say to run 5% max? Mine doesn't say that and it tunes very well without any trouble and has tons of power. Right now I am waiting on a servo saver though. Good luck

I know one thing that has helped me is my LHS worker is really into helicopters. He has helped me a lot on the break-in of mine.

I use Blue Thunder. I have heard some people talk bad about Blue Thunder, but we run it in all our nitros with great success. I do run my mixture richer than most and still make plenty of power and have great engine life. It runs equally well in Schumacher, Thunder Tiger, Traxxas, Losi, and Associated.
