What other bit charg bodies are there? I already have a Celica, skyline, and the Trueno tune up box.
They make the RX7, S2000, and several others. Go to ebay and look for them. They have station wagons and all kinds of stuff!!

What about the smaller Digi Q? It seems better becuase it takes a 10 min charge for 15min of run-time. Plus u get a real r/c style remote with proper controls (CPU forward, plus a turbo function!)

I think they should make more bodies for the Bit Char-G. Like the Eclipse, and other cars, like the ones on the Fast and the Furious. Any word on this yet?

Nikko makes a Digi Q style micro car. It uses infrared just like the Digi Q and is similar in size. They have a New Mini cooper, and a WRX rally version of the New Imprezza with all the racing logos. There full function.
Competition in the Micro RC market is getting pretty cool:cool:
Will Tomy start selling those racing body sets for the Bit Charg cars seperate like the regular body sets?

Damn, I found a sweet little peugot 206 Nikko rally 1/24 scale but they can't ship out of the U.k. to US becuase of some stupid export rule with radios they say.
"We regret that due to postal regulations prohibiting the export of radio transmitting and receiving devices, we cannot export these items except to UK Highlands & Islands and Eire."
Probably due to bomb threat type stuff :(

I saw one of the Nikko 1/24 Peugot on ebay. They also have a rally wrx Imprezza. Nikko is making some nice stuff lately.
Nikko used to make a 4wd 1/10 scale gas touring car with an electric motor for reverse; a few years ago. It was RTR. It was pricey also. I bet nobody knew that!

just for the record, and to hopefully not confuse anybody, the bit char-gs are more like 1/48th scale or something ie: smaller than a hot wheels car (1/43rd)...1/24th is mini-z/canned heat size...both shown in pic below...

03-26-2002, 01:21 PM
Yah, I was wondering about that too. The only way my Bit Char-G Skyline has evolved for me is by puting a 2.6 motor, and the high grip tires on it. A great way to increase power of the motor is to put a tiny drop of bearing lube on each end of the motor were the shaft goes through. Remember the smallest drop possible, a little goes along way for the tiny motor. Another good area to lube is the shaft that the counter gear rotates on. You will see a pretty good increase in power with these suggestions, and the gerabox will run super smooth. Don't lube the teeth on the gears though, unless you like dust, to stick to them.:D

dan7532: There are some people selling them on ebay. I don't know if the Nikko Digi Q style cars are for the American market. Sweet! I can't wait to get one. I tried to get my younger cousin into rc, but he will not spend much money, so I think I can get him to buy one of these and I can race him. Canned heats probably take too much room to run and probably drink alkaline batteries. So for some cheap, no- (or very low) maintenance rc fun, Bit Char-Gs (microsizers) look to be the best bet.

Could someone please describe the difference between the 1.0 and the 2.2 motors? I plan on racing two bit char-gs/microsizers (with the same motor in each) mostly on my bumper pool table lid, which is flat, pressed wood (particle board with a plastic real-wood looking cover on it). It has 8 even sides (like a STOP sign, but with more sides). The length from any one side to the side opposite of it is 52 inches (or 4 foot 4 inches, or 132 centimeters). So it is similar to a 52''x 52'' (4'4''x 4'4'', or 132cm x 132cm). I want to know if I should get the 1.0 or 2.2 motor. I would sometimes race it on other surfaces, but this looks to be the main one. How should I know which motor to get (and I do not plan on buying any extra motors)? I do not need to have the fastest one possible, I'm not a speed freak, but I want the motor that works best in the areas that I run it on.
r.c.dealer
05-15-2002, 08:34 PM
The 1.0 motor spins at 10,000 rpm, 2.2 spins at 22,000 rpm, 2.6 spins at 26,000 rpm, and the 3.0 spins at 30,000 rpm. Theres also a gear set you can get for the Bit Char-G/Microsizers to adjust the gear ratios for speed or torque. The gear set includes three different axles, 3 counter gears, and 3 pinion gears. The Trueno Tune Up box that I have includes the gear sets.

Sorry, I did not phrase my question like I meant to. I knew about the RPMs and the gears, but I was wondering about people's opinions about their speed and maneuverability so that I can decide which motor would be best suited to where I plan on running it. For instance, is the 1.0 too slow; is the 2.2 too fast or does not handle well, or how each of them are stock (as I plan to keep them), without modifications to the gearing or anything.

The 2.2 motor probably would be fast enough for the surface you are going to be running on. You might want to get a tire set with the High grip tires for better handleing on the wood surface. If you keep the surface dusted, you should have no problem with the car spinning out. Any more questions just ask!
GTX: your getting a booster set with the 4 band transmitter?
dan7532

I always keep my pool table lid clean, so it should get good grip. I was leaning towards the 2.2, even if it is too fast (not enough control) to play hockey with (using a soda bottle cap as a puck). The 1.0 might not be fast enough to have a fun race with.
Yep, got he booster with the 2.2(I think) and the 4 band controller. Looks sweet!

Are the 1.0 and 2.2 motor cars geared differently if you buy them stock with that motor (like the s2000 and skyline cars as opposed to the other ones that come with the 1.0 motors)? Do they handle differently? I am pretty sure that I will get some with the 2.2 motors.

There all geared the same from the factory as far as I know. Even the Booster car with the 2 speed is geared the same. 9.86 to 1 Most come with the medium grip tires. The Toyota open deck comes with the high grip tires. I run the High grip tires on my skyline and it seems to have better handling and doesn't spin out.

Here is a website for english instructions for the bit char-g: http://www.cosmogames.com/GIF/Extra/BitChar/BitCharGMenu1.htm
Is the 2.2 motor too fast for a beginner (my first time running a bit char-g)? Is it the right speed for table-top racing?
(The pic has some engrish, I know)
dan7532

Also, do you turn the dial on the transmitter clockwise to pull the antenna back in (because the pic shows one way and the description says the other)?

Also, can a bit char-g run on the felt (sp?) of a pool table?

The 2.2 motor should be good for you, and it should be able to run on the felt of a pool table top easily.
You turn the dial (crank) on the back of the transmitter clockwise to wind it up.

I am WAY hooked!! I saw these on the 'net 2 nites ago and stayed up to 2:30 in the morning searching sites (BTW I'm an IT Project Mgr and had an 8:00 mtg with the customer the next morning!!!). Anyway, I ordered 3 of them that nite from ToyEast.com. (the prices are great but the shipping was over $16!). I bought the Honda wagon, Honda NSX-R, and a Bullet GTR ($11.70, $25.20, & $9.90 respectively!!) Can't wait to get them!
OK, questions:
1. Where can I buy the Digi-Q race course barrier? how much? E-Bay?
2. What is the best batteries to use? Can I use AA-Nimhs? (I've got 12 of them (from my digi-cam). Please don't answer if you don't know for sure. I thought I read cautions about using high-capacities or rechargeables.
You gotta check this site (muscle car bodies)
Goin'Ape! (http://hometown.aol.com/goinape/bitpage5.html)
Little pricey, but a '69 Camaro or late model Mustang would be Killer!!!
Post your pictures and mods..
Goin Ape is who I bought mine from. I use 1600 mah Nimh AA batts in my booster controller, they work great.
Unobjectionable
06-18-2002, 11:07 PM
most of the sites mentioned earlier in the thread sell the accessories, but you will get them cheaper if you wait...search towers site for "MICROSIZER", they will have the little cones and lap counters and gears and tires and bodies (oh my!)
and i would actually recommend using alkaline batteries in the charger, i tested with freshly charged 1800mAH nimh cells, and the car was very noticeably slower and lacking in runtime...i guess that extra .3V makes a difference
p.s. i have also noticed if you run a car with say a 2.2 motor for a while, then put in the 3.0, it will never be as fast as the same car using the 3.0 from the start...due to the memory of that one cell i suppose, locked at that one lower discharge rate forever...kinda sad really
MPTech
06-19-2002, 12:27 AM
One cell battery, eh?
Has anyone found a better rechargeable battery to use in the car? :D
How about a dedicated battery charger? (consistant, peak-charge?)
So what are the best alkaline batteries to use? Doesn't energizer have some super E3 batteries or somthin'?
Unobjectionable
06-19-2002, 03:41 AM
i just use the regular energizers usually
it's a standard 1.25V cell i guess, in there under the pcb...could charge it like a glow plug warmer (just not as long)...it would either run for quite a while or fry the electronics, i'm not sure which...ehehe
r.c.dealer
06-23-2002, 01:08 PM
Alkline batteries like Energizer are 1.5V not 1.25V.
I got the Booster set and was very suprised by the top speed and wicked acceleration of the Booster car. The Booster car only has a 2.2 motor, and is geared the same as the my regular Bit Char-G Skyline. The Booster car takes off like a rocket, and has pretty good top speed. My regular Bit Char-G with a 2.6 seems to have sluggish acceleration, lower top speed, and less torque than the Booster car! Overall the chassis of both cars are basically the same, however there is an obviuos difference in perfomance of both cars. The main difference being top speed, and acceleration. Both cars pretty much handle identical.
You can use the Booster controller with Booster cars, and regular Bit Char-G cars. There is a 3 position switch on the back of the Booster controller. The first position is for use with the Booster car only. The 1st position gives you low speed function, and the boost or high speed function. With the press of the boost button on top of the controller it will go to high speed. The 2nd postion of the switch is also for use with the Booster car only, allowing you to have full speed only without pressing the boost button. The 3rd postion of the switch is for use with the regular Bit Char-G cars only. There is also a 4 postion switch on top of the controller for selecting up to 4 different frequencies. The range of the cars are basically the same as they were in the regular Bit Char-G cars. The controller is very ergonomic, and well balanced compared to the regular Bit Char-G controller making it very comfortable to hold. The boost button is easy to reach, but can be a little awkward to press if you have long fingers or big hands.
Overall I think the Booster Bit Char-G set is an improvement over the regular Bit Char-G cars. Definatly wearth the extra dough if micro cars are your thing. Theres only a couple of improvements I would make to these little cars and that would be to add digital proportional steering, digital proportional throttle, longer range, and to make the cars more scale in appearance. I'm not a big fan of the Choro Q (Penny Racers) look.:)

I have a Bit Char-G. Its a blue Skyline. Hair got caught in the front wheel.
I got my 3.0 motor and painted my bod. I am going to stick some coins in the back like unobjectionable said and see how that goes. The 3.0 motor hauls!!! I do have the complete booster set and it did come with the 2.2 motor, but I used 1.2V AA's in it so with the 3.0 motor I use 1.5V Alkalines and it makes a HUGE difference. I get going so quickly and get so fast that if I turn the car flips over!!! Sometimes it does a full rotation and lands on all fours again. I have the medium tires, so I think I will get some harder ones soon for some powerslides. Anyone got some pics??? I will try to get some of mine, my body looks alright for being so small, so I think I will get the factory painted or injected ones. When I order my tires I will also get a lower gear set and aim for top speed and see how fast I can get it to go. Anyone have any ideas of how to increase radio range? These things would be so much cooler with longer range!

I just recently purchased two Bit Char G cars, a Gloria and a NSX R. I purchased the Gloria about 2 weeks ago and just got the NSX a few days ago. I found out in a hurry that the NSX is noticably faster than the gloria, both with the same motors in them. At first I though the NSX had a ringer of a motor so I swapped motors, and it made no difference the NSX still hauled major Hiney, lol, and the Gloria was no faster with the NSX's motor. I am running 3.0 motors! Then I thought it may be due to the fact that the NSX's radio had brand new batteries in it so maybe it was charging the car with more oomph, giving it the faster speed. So I charged the Gloria on the NSX's radio, and it made no difference, it was no faster! The only other thing I am thinking it could be that I haven't tried swapping is the rechagable battery in the cars. Maybe the NSX has a better battery with higher voltage output than the Gloria, kind of like high voltage battery packs for regular RC's, except it makes a bigger difference in these tiny cars! Anyone else have a similar experience with their Bit's?

I just got my 3 in the mail Monday and they are a blast. I got them from ToyEast .com. I ordered the Bullet-GTR ($9.90), OEM Honda Wagon ($11.70), and Tomy Honda NSX-R ($25.70). (The shipping is a little steep though ($16)). I'm also not real sure of the motors, they are supposed to be 1.0(?), 2.6, and 2.0, respectively. I also wanted to pass along, I tried oiling the axles & gears, thinking this would smooth & quite them. BE WARE! this slowed them down considerably!! ( used comm oil that I use on my RC motor bearings (too thick I guess). I disassembled and cleaned them & they are almost back to normal.
Anyway, I wanted to pass along this quick, easy, cheap racing solution. My son, his friend, and I were racing them on the kitchen table, but they kept running off the table and I was concerned about damaging them. I was trying think think of something to keep them on and I thought of (what else) Duct Tape!!! Take a piece about 1 1/2 foot long and fold over about 1/2 inch (to create a non-sticky "rail", use the sticky part to affix it to the side of the table and Viola!! instant guard rail). When we were done, I slowly/carefully removed the pieces, and stuck them on the back of the basement door for later use! (use any door or surface of your choice, this was convenient and hidden). I will try to post the PICs to this posting.
We plan to build something more elaborate later, but for the moment this is a ton of fun! (My wife didn't see the "brilliance" in this idea, but she rolled her eyes and let us RACE ON!)
Hey, that's a great tip! I will try that sometime.

I also have a question: ToyEast is selling selling "Recharg Battery & Tire set(s)". There are 5 sets listed (M-01, M-02, M-03, M-04, & M-05). When I view the "Detail Photo" with each set, it looks like they are actually complete Bit-Racers. Can the bodies or any other parts be used? This looks like a good deal for only $3.90, but what compund and quality are the tires (that is what I was really interested in anyways!)
Opinions please!
I wondered about that too. It has the same description for each one!

what's your point? 1/12 is better than 1/18 (mini-z?), 1/10 is better than 1/12, 1/8 is better than 1/10, 1/4 is better than 1/8, and of course full-scale is better than 1/4. But each is also progressively more expensive.
I paid $9.90 for the GTR, $11.70 for the Honda Wagon, and $25.70 for the NSX-R you see above. They are fun little cars to run in the house (on the kitchen table!). I also have 8 - 1/12 & 1/10 on & off-road RCs that cost $200 - $500 a piece. Each is built for a different purpose (and price). Appreciate them for what they are: fun and inexpensive. If you don't like them: go post in the mini-z forum.

I just got them last week, you know the story, now they're no fast enuf (still have the original motors). ToyEast has motor upgrades for $5, but I was thinking of only going to the 2.6 or maybe 3.0 (I've heard bad things about the 3.0 glitching bad, so I'm stil skeptical). I do think I'll get a couple more in the process. These things are a kick to race with friends, even if I have to supply the cars and kitchen table! :D
fast&furious, sorry to rip on ya, but I'm so sick of people jumping in a thread and being negative. Hey, it's what I like to do, if you don't like them or you like something else better, go with it and quit downin' what someone else likes. If we all liked the same thing, there wouldn't be 1/24, 1/18, 1/12, etc. There wouldn't be onroad n offroad, gas n electric, bashin' n racin', and AE, Losi, Tamiya, Traxxas, Kyosho, etc, etc. That's what makes this sport great, variety...
pick what you like.

My 3.0 motor is fine. I haven't gotten a 3.8 yet, I want the hype for them to go down, plus my budget is kinda tight. I am building a project right now, so I am dumping my money into it. I need some hard tires first anyway, my Booster still flips over!

indeed...anybody who compares them to a mini-z or whatever is missing the point...its a hot wheels car you can DRIVE
i took a look at that toyeast place, they have some cool stuff (bit char-g light kits, finally! ahah)...i think the M-01/5 "machine sets" will all include the same stuff (relative to what you can actually use anyway)..basically, a complete bit racer (which is the non-rc cousin to the bit char-g) for parts, the ones you can use being shown in their pic...i don't think the rear axle will work, the gearing is too high or something...worth it though for the other stuff (most of which they also sell separately)...i just wish they sold more bodies, i still need my skyline...ehehe
btw i have not had any glitching with the 3.0 in either of my cars...that 3.8 sounds like a screamer, i reckon it would be hard to control in a non "booster set" car
p.s. good idea on the table track...i was thinking the same thing but with tape and nylon rope

So how far should these things be able to drive away before radio control is lost? I can't drive mine standing straight up, I have to lean down toward it. And I made sure the antennas are straight.

WhoKnowsWho: Distance depends on a few things. I have two Bit's and one the 45mhz Gloria gets at least 15 feet, but the other 27mhz NSX R gets like 6-7 feet max! The radio antenna on the 27 mhz is like 6 inches shorter which limits it's range quite a bit! There is a site www.questformadness.com that gives you ways to help increase distance, such as changing the wire antenna on the car with different gauge wire, maybe your radio has a cripple capacitator in it (neither of mine had one of these in their radios), and some other ways to improve radio range.

HotTrick & WhoKnowsWho,
I also wanted to increase my range. I have a Bullet-GTR, OEM Honda Wagon, and Tomy Honda NSX-R. I opened the transmiters for the Honda Wagon & Honda NSX-R, but did not have the cripple capacitor (didn't open the GTR). But I did replace the antennas on the cars and it did seem to help. This is a very easy mod. I bought about 3 feet of cat-5 wire from Home Depot (like 20 cents a foot, really cheap and you get 6 or 8 strands, I forget). Cut them to 1 foot and installed them, works pretty good and I do notice a range difference. I would guess about 16 feet, in my kitchen!
Also, they were slowing down and didn't have the pep they once had. I removed the axles and gear that drives the axle and cleaned them real well (it looked clean when it was installed, but I removed it and it had all kinds of fuzz). I replaced them clean and applied a little graphite and they run GREAT!
What is the part number for the good tires? And I was considering running a 2.6 motor in the NSX-R, or should I go with the 3.0? I've heard that it's almost too fast to control.
Unobjectionable
07-29-2002, 06:21 PM
part number for the tire set is S-02
the 3.0 has enough power to make the thing spin/loop out if you try to take off with the wheels turned, you can lessen this by using hard front tires and soft rears (the "medium" black tires included with the kit seem to work best in back)...this will also make it a little easier to control as regards steering
the surface makes a big difference too...on a nice clean prepared surface (tabletop) they are pretty hooked up...you could probably wipe the table down with DEW before a big race, for greater traction..ehehe

I have 3.0 motors in both my cars and the NSX R is faster in both acceleration and top speed over my Gloria. I swapped motors, but it made no difference, the NSX was still faster!
My brother in law has an OEM Bit with a 2.6 motor in it, so I tried it in my NSX and this sucker can pull the front wheels off the ground if you go in reverse and then slam it into forward, it isn't faster than the 3.0 motor though, but just has noticeably more torque! It won't ride a wheelie, but it will pull the wheels off the ground and then they drop right back down. The Gloria and his OEM won't do that. I seriously think I got a ringer of a car here, lol. I can't believe that the board in the NSX R could be what is making it faster, but others have said that that is most likely what it is! Hopefully it lives a long life!:p

Alright guys, I've always been wanting to get a Bitcharg. Since the only way to get them is online. Now I stumbled upon a little booth in my mall that sells them, the REAL ones. Yea some places do have the cheaper fake ones but they are nowhere as cool as the real ones. Now this seems like decent prices to me but please tell me what you think about them.
Regular Bitchargs are going for 39.99.
The Initial D ones are for 44.99
The motors go for 5.99 (I only see the 1.0 and the 2.6 ones
The Booster kit is going for 27.99 (I think its the control only, right?)
There is a kit that has extra tires, body, and motor going for 24.99
That is all that I can remember, they also have other stuff like tires but I didn't look at the prices. A few weeks when I went there they had a huge selection of them, now all I see is the red FD rx-7, the NSX-R, S2000, Somekind of yellow pickup, and the Initial D set. Anyways, tell me what you think about it! I've got my eye on the Intial D set. Thanks guys.

Kitty,
I like the GTR, but it is not quite the quality of the Tomy. For $9.90, it's a GREAT DEAL! The speed is not bad, seems faster than a 1.0, but I don't know what size the motor is. I'm thinking of getting something faster anyway. Let me know what kind of deal/arrangement you end up setting-up on you website.
I replaced the antenna for better range too (it wasn't bad before, but now it is much better!) It had a wing on the back that I need to glue back on.

I just purchased a Mario Kart Yoshi Bit Char-G for about £30($43), it comes with loads of stuff, 2.6 motor, medium tires, 5 bananas, 2 shells and a mushroom, plus loads of cradboard things to pop out and click together as course markers and stuff. Its pretty fast, but I'm going to buy the gear set and the 3.0 motor. I hear there are 3.2 and 3.6 motors coming out too. Those should be fun.:D .
The initial D set looks like a good deal, 2 bodies , the trueno u can change the bonnet(comes with 2 bonnets), and a RX7, control, tires, chassis, a 2.2 motor(I think, could be a 1.0). Plus its a special edition too ;) .
Can people post tips on getting a longer range from the bit char-g , I mean I only want about a foot more and also my one runs for about 3 and a half minutes on the 2.6 motor, it gets slow towards the end of the battery though. But 3 1/2 minutes, when they say only 2, anyone else getting long run times??

Now I fully understand how these little things are so dope and addictive. I been playing it non stop on my desk and coffee table. And yeah, it does not run for 2 min as the box states, runs much longer than that! I also got me the 2.6 motor. I did a few runs with the 1.0 and IMO I find it really slow. After I popped in the 2.6, damn the speed picks up bigtime. Well I love it and I'm definitely gonna get more bodies and do some customizing to it. So far my only problems is that the left turns are sharper than right turns, it also appears to be much stronger than right...though the car does track straight. Btw, how long does the batteries last for? They gave me some energizers with it. Thanks, and here is my car, bonestock though and to the side is the REAL 3000gt Micro (Machines) car! =P

The Microsizer is made by Tomy for Hobbico. Microsizers are the name of the official USA version of Bit Char-G's.
The Gearing should be on the box, but pretty much all Bit Char-G (Microsizers) come with a 9.86:1 gear ratio.
You can get different axles for your Microsizer (Bit Char-G), to change the gear ratios. Theres also a drift axle so you won't have to take the tires off. You just switch to the drift axle which has hard plastic tires. The drift axle comes with funky orange wheels though. Towerhobbies sells the hoppups for the Microsizers(Bit Char-G).

i just got the 2.6 "racing motor" and the nissan skyline gt-r bodies (the black and clear ones) then i got the on road grip tire set.... what a BIG IMPROVEMENT for that new motor.... i dont know what size the stock motor is seeing as i got the japanese one with the japanese directions, but this 2.6, you spin out every turn you do, its best to use on pavement or cement.... i would recomend this motor to anyone, and if you get the motor, GET THE TIRE SET! the tires with grip are really needed for this motor.

The Wild Char-G trucks are basically monster truck Bit Char-G's that will have some type of weopon system. Hence the battle truck name.
Check this link out for some cool Bit Char-G stuff including Bit Char-g tanks, and a Bit Submarine!! Notice the Cool Digi Q tanks, and the Digi Q Sub!! How about the micro thats less than half the size of a Bit Char-G and Digi Q!!!! :D

My friend has a car that looks like a microsizer but its called a zip zap and he got it from radio shack. It has different motors, gearing, suspention, wheels, tires, and body upgrades, and its pretty fast. (i dont know what size motor he's using) Does anyone know anything about these? I went to there website www.zipzap.com and they look identical to the microsizers, I just wonder if parts would be interchangeable? Thanks..

Hey
I was looking at www.questformadness.com (as probably most of you know about) and some of the mods interested me
#1- the antenna upgrade- i wil get a VERY LONG telescoping antenna- no problem there.
#2 i was thinking of the cripple capacitro upgrade. BUt one problem. My controller doesn't have one, yet it still is "crippled". Where si the capacitor?
#3- i was thinknig of putting in 1 of the bigger batts, no problem there. And then i was thiknig of putting in 2 cells. Some problems. It says that if you want to charge it you need to change the charging wires ont eh controller, or build a seperate charger. I looked at it, and the seperate charger looked WAy easier. But, i would probably let it bee either 3 or 4 aa's charging. if i do this( i mean the seperate charger) how long shoudl i charge it with 3 aa's, and then with 4 aa's.
Thats al[l. By the way, the Super mini car and mini sub look awesome- can't wati to get one
Please reply.
Thanx,
Garrett-

Brandon, what size of motor are you running?
Make sure the motor has proper contact...
Sometimes oil from your fingertips will cause it to have a bad connection, so try cleaning it with saome alcohol...

Yes
I accidently pulled both of my steering wires off the circuit board on one of my cars while cleaning the steering magnet:o
But after some careful soldering with tweezers and a hot nail, she's as good as new:)
Here's a little diagram you might find useful:

Looks good! I've heard those particular micro cars were pretty fast, and the transmitter was pretty nice. If only the Superduper Walmart around here would carry such items;)
If you don't mind, I also posted a link to your page at tinyrc.com

Hey, not a problem. These forums are all about the exchange of information, right? Thats why I made the page. I also posted a message on the micro rc car center.
Yeah, they are not bad for speed. When I get my hands on some different motors, I'm going to try it on this car.

Anyone know which company makes these Micro Cars for the Sharper image?
http://images.sharperimage.com.edgesuite.net/all/en/images/products/DK010-PIP.JPG
They look a lot more realistic than the standard BitCharG's, but I don't wanna pay S.I. prices to get one ($39.95)

PVC pipe is great if your tables are square or rectangular.... or if you want to build a track on your floor. It is super cheap and you can easily cut them to any length you want. Its also heavy enough to not budge when you accidentally run your cars into them. The best thing about them is you can buy them in any hardware store and buy connector pieces (elbow or tee pieces) to design your track!
