Dan,

I know just how you feel. I had my first flight last Sunday at our local field. Your story sounds a lot like mine. I'm friends with our local club pres. too. He's really been a big help getting me started. I'm just getting started into r/c planes with electric powered planes. I have a Wattage Mini-Max. Last Sunday was a very nice calm day, and the club president invited me out to fly with them.

We had to wait for the wind to calm down. Then we launched the plane for the first time. He did all the trimming. Then he got it up to about 300'. I was really nervous too. Must be normal. I only had the plane for a couple minutes. But on the second flight he let me fly it for over 30 minutes !! What a total adrenaline rush !! He taught me how turn it, left and right, and some climbs and descents. He did the landing though. I was really pumped-up afterwards !! Can't wait to do it again ! I think I must have stayed hyped up for at least three days after.

Thanks for sharing.
