Hi..

I have a Mini-Max, and so far I really like it.

This is how mine is set-up: Hitec HS-55 servos, Feather 4 receiver, Wattage IC-5A speed control. Battery pack is an 8 cell 300 maH NiMH.

I've only flown it 3 times so far, crashed once (my fault: inexperience). The other two flights were with an instructor, and were mostly higher altitude.(three mistakes high so they say)

My instructor hand launched on the first flight. He trimmed it at low altitude, then went higher so I could fly. We got about 20 minutes on that flight.

After recharging the pack, we flew again. This time we ROG'd. Took off in about ten feet, on very short grass. Another high altitude flight. We used air currents, and 1/3 throttle and got just under 30 minutes on this flight before the BEC kicked in.

I've really had a great time with this plane, and I can't wait until we have better weather so I can fly again. I hope this helps some.

It's a good plane, and a great trainer. There are some weak points, which will show up after crashing, but the foam is easily repairable. It glides and climbs better than the LiteStik, but is heavier and uses more power. The flight times come out similar, due to the thermal and glide differences.

Check around for modification suggestions, here and Ezone. Most are not required to fly it, but to do loods and withstand crashes, they help. Here's some pictures of crash damage and repairs: http://photos.yahoo.com/genebond
