Anyone have experience building the Hyperdrive Adrenaline. I bought the adjustable caster blocks but can't figure out exactly how to install them. No instructions at all with them or any of the other parts for that matter. The instruction paper, notice I didn't say manual, is all of four pages of pictures for the base chassis only.

Hey Checkered just replace the stock units on your front end with the aluminum. There are 4 long set screws that go in the pair of holes in the top of each block to hold the caster pin. You will use 4/40 cap screws to mount these instead of the flat head screws. Hyperdrive did this so you could use the pair of blocks on two cars if you only use the tall caster block on the left front and run the stock block on the right front. You will need to add 3 or 4 more white shims to each side. The design of these caster blocks will allow any caster setting from +6 degrees to -8 degrees. Many times with the stock block when you run both white washers in the front you are suposed to have zero caster. But if you check the king pin you might have as much as 2 degrees instead.
I agree that the instruction sheets are lacking and Joe & Barry are working hard to get additional detail in their assembly manual. This will be especially helpful to a first time builder. Most of my instruction manuals have coffee spilled on them in the first 5 minutes anyway.
If you ever have any questions on the Hyperdrive give me a shout via email rc4less@knology.net
Good Luck,
Bruce

rc4less - Got the Hyperdrive put together okay. Have been on the track a few times now and love it. The caster blocks are great. Also put in the adjustable shock mount. Installed an HPI center shock which seemed to help. Now the biggest thing is the bumper. I bet I've spent $100 on the graphite bumpers so far. Isn't there a better bumper to use. Better in that I don't have to spend so much to replace it. This last Saturday I put in three of them before the day was over.
Thanks for your help
BTW - Saw you at the Snowbirds. Will you be in Akron?

Checker-
You can buy a Black fiberglass bumper that will fit right on your car from www.KGBracing.com. They costs $9.00 plus tax and shipping. They are preaty tough, I'm the crash dummy for bumbers.LOL You do want your bumber to break when you are in a hard crash so it saves your chassis, but you don't want to pay an arm & a leg to replace it.
If you want to order email billing@kgbracing.com and tell Josh what you need.
Hope this helps.
