I bought a Ofna MP on 2/1/02 and have broken the engin in and it runs great the problem is that the truck when driving will all of a sudden take off and go to full throttle without any control. The radio turns on with full power and the reciever has brand new batteries in it however none of it works the engin runs fine. What is wrong, is this coverd under any warrenty. I e-mailed Ofna on 2/17/02. I still am waiting for them to contact me.

You might want to check the trim for the throttle on your transmitter.

it has something to do with your radio. It would be hard to say without actually seeing it.

Where did you buy it? Contact them first, probably your receiver glitching. Try reseating the crystals and your servo and battery connectors. It is possible to insert the connectors in upside down if you press hard enough. Also keep trying emailing Ofna, they will reply. They may ask you to send the radio gear in although when I had a warrenty problem with some defective diff gears they sent me a new set. Don't give up, the MP rocks!!!

are you sure that your throttle is not sticking on the carb??
you might want to check it
even though it might seem fluid in hand, you need to crank it and watch it as you pull the throttle.

check to make sure that your pipe is not hitting your header. there is not much room for the pipe on the pirates. any contact here can cause a radio glich if your using A.M.

I had problems with my MP going full throttle. I have an AM radio. I put a throttle return spring on it and it is a truck saver. I read the article in RC Nitro. My problem was my servo. I changed servo and the problem was solved.

Good luck with OFNA. I've had problems with their products and never got a return on several e-mails. Called them twice;siad they would send the parts. Never sent. Needless to say I don't buy OFNA anymore.

as a hobby store manager I will say ofna has some of the best customer service i have ever dealt with. the problem sounds like it is a bad crystal or reciever if you feel that is a warrenty issue you would need to contact airtronics the radio manufacture good luck they have some of the worst customer service i have ever dealt with they are rude and arrogant had you hit anything recently if so it is more than likely a crystal problem they are fradgile they are just a tuned piece of crystal between two tiny strands of wire in that case and a hard impact can break one if so pick up a set of traxxas crystals they are only like 10 bucks

also call ofna it works better than e mail most buisnesses get so much e mail they don't have a chance to read it for days I e mailed my local car dealer about getting on a waiting list for a particular car and it took them a month to reply

Went to my lhs and they said I hade a bad servo they gave me a $50 servo from hitec to make up for it know it is awsome.:D
This truck rocks I love it. The servo also helps stop the big truck more brake power
