Im in the midst of a saving spree(my term for not just buying stuff every week and getting something big) I want nitro, and an mt, Im looking at either the Terra Crusher or The Megaforce, I got a E-maxx, and I wasn't really happy wit it, so the T-Maxx is outta the question, nobody say get 1. I wanna know how the megaforce handles, and how much it would take to make it a gigaforce.

Get the Terra Crusher if you do not like the Maxx(May I ask why?). It is cheaper than the Mega Force, is almost impossible to flip, more top end, and throttle, brake, and reverse(The Mega Force requires you to pick if you want brake, or reverse, if you do not have a 3 channel radio).

I don't want a maxx because
1. Flip easily
2. Underpowered
3. Easily snapped arms
4. Too freakin many of em

Get a monster pirate they are extremely cheap and they are powerfull and fast. IT has a lot more power than the terra since its a 21. It will be quiker also. im not sure about top end because that all depends on the gearing. But the monster pirate is a lot more capable.

The Megaforce is pretty cool becuase its unique and looks alittle different from the others. You can get an optional 2speed that is used on the QRC Ram, and Baja Feild Beetle, since the drive train is similar!
I don't know if the Megaforce flips easy so I don't understand why people who haven't run it keep saying it does.
Or how about a Thunder Quake!! You could wait for the next gas Monster truck from Traxxas!

I didn't really think about a .21 car, I can't afford a TQ, but a MP maybe, its either a new car or A new bass(b.c rich warlock). I almost got a MP, but opted for a GCN(Christmas present). Would a mp be better than a TC?

It depends on what you are doing. The TC is a great jumper, and handling truck out of the box. It should also climb well, like the T-Maxx. The MP requires a few upgrades to let it jump as well. These would include new tire/rims, and posiibly new shocks.
The MP is fast(32 mph, a little faster than the Maxx type trucks), torquey, and has that big and bad effect. If you would like a accurate test of the MP, a few issues back(Novemer 2001?), RCCA had a Head to Head test of the T-Maxx, and MP.

I read that article(very heavily favored towards the maxx) and Im leaning towards the MP now, does any1 know about how the super pirate went?

It wasn't favored towards the T-Maxx, it simply jumped, climbed better, and was stronger. They gave the MP good remarks in the speed, pulling, and when they pulled Kevin.

Thats a load of bs, look at the way its written, if the MP wins, its talking about the T-Maxx, but when the T-Maxx wins, its talking bout the T-maxx. Referring to anything as"good ol ____" sure shows no loyalties.

Well i can tell you that everyone complains about the suspension, but the truth is i dont have any problems jumping mine. I havent come across a single other monster truck yet including the tmax that can come close to keeping up with my Monster pirate. I have launched it off jumps and it sucks them up just fine! Not to mention you cant beat the price of $260.00 for the Truck and the Hyper 21!!! You would have to spend 1000 dollars or more on top of the cost of the truck to make the tmax even try to compete with the pirate. Good luck and i hope you make the right decision and get the MP. Oh yeah just thought i would let you know if you want to really go fast just get the KIT for 200.00 and then buy a really good motor. You can easily break the 50 MPH barrier. I have the O-1 which has 2.7 hp and 43000 Rpm. The truck absolutely screams!!!! When i go to the track everyone is amazed. They dont even hardly look at my Inferno MP7.5, they are just extremely impressed with the MP.

chief- U running a 2 speed in urs, I have a hard time believing that a MP could hit 50 mph with out 1, or without the gear reduction unit. And what hop-ups u got on urs?

Well actually I have a two speed, but its not on it right now. Its actually sitting I need to get some sabr diffs for it. I have never clocked it but i have had my losi XXX-NT at 42MPH. My pirate is faster than it by a little with the one speed. Its noticable anyway.
I figure probably along the lines of 45. With the two speed it is quite a bit faster than that even. So i would say easily a ligitimate 50+. I lightened the flywheel to about half the wieght it was. That made it a lot quiker, and i believe im not sure but i believe its a 14 tooth clutch bell. Ill check. Anyway other than that and the O-1 motor its pretty stock except i have my body sunk really tight on the truck. It makes it look a lot better, and a lot less air drag. My pirate keeps up with all the 1/8 buggies at the track, believe it or not. I cant wai to get it running again, ill make some sick vids of it for yall and ill get radar for ya.

I know this is off topic, but I am replying as to why everyone thinks that the Megaforce is tippy. The T-maxx is about the same with and it flips easy. And look at the tires on the thing, the tops are rounded instead of flat, of course it would roll easy. The evidence is there, who needs proof!
