I am getting an E-maxx and no one can talk me out of it so don't waste your time trying, but I would like some advice on what batteries to buy. I plan on getting the Towerhobbies combo package that comes with 1500 duratrax batteries and a duratrax power peak charger and eight AA's. With the E-maxx that is 379. But what batteries should I buy to have an extra pare. Would 1800's do the trick, and does brand matter. Thanks for any help you guys can give me.:D

Someone at my local track told me the Maxx Paxx are garbage.... I'm not an R/C expert and an Emaxx is my first RC vehicle
.. but judging by the way his Emaxx was tearing up every truck on our local track I think he knows what he's talking about? but he never told me why nor did I bother asking? I just took it is a fact..

but now I'm curious. why would someone say they're garbage?

That's great, 40.00 for two 2400's. Do you know where I can Find them though because I have never heard of them. That would be a big help. And Gen. Salsa, does the E-maxx really only go 25, I would just like to know. Thanx!

I suggest a good set of 3000HV's. Yes they are expensive, but they are absolutely awesome. You can get a brand like B&T for around $50 a pack. I suggest that you dont purchase the Rocket Packs from Orion. They have no punch and poor run times. This is not an isolated experience. I work in a hobby shop and EVERY customer that has purchased them has complained. A good set of matched 2400's is also great choice. Just remember, you get what you pay for!!!

Thanks guys, that is a big help! That was exactly the advice I was looking for. And yeah, 3000's I have heard are great, and might get a pair after a while. But I don't have that extra money and I want to get use to driving my emaxx before I turn it into a rocket.
