View Full Version : Hangar 9 Cap 232 ultra series setup ?

I just got the Cap 232 120 ultra series from hangar nine it has a two pc elevator the instructions say to make a push rod with two ends one for each side. would it be better to run two servos one for each side of the elevator I will be using the JR xp8103 radio in this plane so setup shouldnt be a problem any help would be greatly appreciated

No problum Augeredin, but there are some factors to keep in mind. First you want to get two servo's that are mached on speed, and rotation. Then make sure that all angle are at 90*, and make sure that there are no sub trims or any other related trims,set radio to factory settings before you begin to hook everything up. Then all you have to do is run two leads from the reciver, the left side for the elev. input on reciver, then plug in the right side to the aux. channel (of your choice). then turn on the program mode of your jr and slave channel aux. (of your choice) to the elev. usually chan. 3 but not positive on that. Good luck..
P.S. depending on the engine that u use. Please use at least 60 oz. servo, and alot of them will put out that much with 6 volts........

I too found it easier to set the CAP up with dual elevator servos each on a different channel. A little extra weight but worth it in my opinion. It was easy to set up on my Futaba 9C. High torque digital servos would be the best choice.

thanks for the help this plane really rocks

I never thought this thing would be so much fun to fly huge jump from what I'm used to.
