not familiar with your plane...do you want still or video...i bought a tiny little bell and howell bh-10 from walmart...i think i paid about 35 or 40 dollars...i just removed the plastic case and the camera ( which runs on two AAA) weighs only 17.2 grams...it's got me thinking about aerial photagraphy...in backyard flyer there is an advertisment for remote controled mini tanks and an onborad video camera which fits on the end of a 9 volt battery...i think it was around 120 dollars and very light....check there website

Hey guy,

I am usually posting replies in R/C groups, t'll I found this site and you guys.

Anyways..... About cam. To answer you Q. I found a rocket that has a cam, that can take still PIC. If your looking for video cam. they cost around $150.00 look in airplane mag./or backyard, they usually have them advertised.

For the rocket cam. It cost only $40- and yes it can take nice, clear PIC. The rocket brand, it's called Estes, rocket cam.

Hope that helps,

Hi omecoame,

I too am wondering what kind of pics you want to take. Still shots or video? I have experience with RC wireless video and could offer advice if thats the mode you want to use.

I looked up the Solo but only found a glow powered version. Is yours electric powered?

If this is a new aircraft I would highly recommend getting a lot of stick time on it before you attempt to fly any additional equipment. Be very familiar with its characteristics and some basic aerobatic maneuvers with it. You will need to be able to judge its handling once the equipment is installed due to the increased weight and or drag of the additional equipment. Also the aircraft will need power to spare. If you have to fly around at full throttle to maintain altitude then don't use that aircraft to try to do aerial photography. I am not trying to sound preachy, I have just seen several of them auger in from folks not familiar enough with their aircraft or overloading them. Aerial photography and video is a blast and there are several electrics that are well suited for it.

I am building a new video system that I am hoping to try out in May!
