Just to clarify... this is the DIRECT DRIVE version. NO MORE BELT DRIVE!

Lets have some people's opinions!

i bought a viper rs4 3 yesturday. i went to my local park to break in the eninge. after 50 billon pulls and blisters on my fingers(ouch),engine started up. after the 6th tank i started to tune the engine. i was surprise that this engine is pretty fast.

im glad i made this purchase and so far the only faults i see in the car is the steering servo and the am radio. i will definitely upgrade to a fm radio.

road runner .....are you new to nitro? you are supposed to tune the engine to starting conditions before you start it? Also did you prime it? If you did these things I cant see why it took you so long to get it started. Mine started 3rd pull. I was surprised quicker than my O.S. in my GT. I ran a few tanks through it and it runs great. one of the easiest to tune engines I've seen lately.:)

im not new to nitro but im also no expert. i once owend a nitro 4 tec. i think what gave me problems was the freezing cold.

now the engine starts up 2 to 5 pulls... wooohooo :) :) :)

jason, i also agree that this engine is very easy to tune.
trxpro .15 vs .15fe= .15fe wins :) :) :) :)

ahhhh.....freezing cold could cause problems:(
Good to hear problem solved:)

I was told to buy the 4 tec over this car.....no offense but I deffinately think the RS4 is much better. Also I am running a JR XR2 radio, ans swapped out the HPI servos For Hi-speed JR servos, it mad for a nice upgrade;) Enjoy your new toy!:)

I've had mine for about 4 weeks now. Its a nice car, BUT YOU HAVE TO KNOW WHAT PARTS FIT IT! Its real wierd the way it works. Some parts from one car will fit while other dont. Can't use rear exauhst engines.....or atleast yet, because the engine faces a different direction being shaft driven, they dont make an adapter for it yet.

StevePond

I just got finished testing one for the mag. I think it's a great car. I fully intend to modify one of these when a few more option parts become available. Just curious Greg, which parts didn't fit that you thought would fit?

A few observations. Definately faster than the RS4 2. I tested both and found the "3" to be about 4 mph faster. It's also quicker. In nearly five seconds, the "3" pulls about 30 feet ahead of the "2." I also REALLY like the shaft drive. I intentionally drove for over an hour in parking COVERED with sand and pebbles. It would have taken out a belt drive car in less than a minute, but the shaft drive didn't have a problem.

GregUnd
03-15-2002, 04:03 PM
The C-Hubs off of an RS4 will not fit the "3". Dogbones, cannot find one that fits so I have to use fuel line to keep the dogbone in, the ones I'm using are 50mm and I believe I need 60mm. Basicaly the "3" is an MT using some RS4 parts and racer2 etc... And the big thing is the exauhst, can't be rear on the engine and side on the car. must use side on engine and side on car. So, you have some parts for example that will fist the RS4 and RTR3, but not the MT. Then you got some that will fit the RTR3 that will not fit the MT or racer2 and so forth.

the C-carriers from the RS4 2 do fit. The old arms from the original RS4 have open ends and therefore a different C-carrier design. The suspension arms from the RS4 2 have closed ends where the C-carriers mount, which requires a different C-carrier; the same one shown below that will also fit the RS4 3.

All the suspension parts for the RS4 2 fit the new car. All of the MT drivetrain parts, except the 2-speed and center universal driveshafts also fit the RS4 3.

I am thinking of getting this car, it looks cool and for the money you can't beat it. I was also wondering if you could make it into a cool Rally car, just make the ride height high, and lift the body up, and there you have a cool gas powered 1/10th scale rally. If it works, I will get 2, one for the street, and one for the dirt. I know HPI makes a gas rally car already, but I think that this would be more scale.

does anyone know when the new header and pipe are supposed to be coming out for the RS4 3?

TeeGeeRacer
03-19-2002, 03:05 AM
I'm not so sure about the ETA for the HPI pipe/header. But, you can also use the Dynamite inline pipe/header for the T-Maxx. It may be tuned more for lower end punch but it's cool because it uses springs instead of a silicone coupler and zipties.

Or you can just get a T-Maxx header and use almost any pipe you want.

Just got the viper today ! So far so good . I went around the whole car with a screw driver everything was tight . There was one prob though . The steering had a lot of slop in it . so I took apart the steering and found the two screws that hold the tie bar in place were loose . easy fix . going to break in the motor tomorrow.

After every half gallon or so, accualy a little less be sure and re-check ALL the screws again. I just ate up a spur gear cause my engine mount screws vibrated loose and scooted over and there went my spur gear. ALso, have to order those. Can't use another, except for maybe the Super Rally's, but dought it. Had to order mine from HPI, gonne get in on Friday. Went ahead and orderd 3 of'em.

Os A5 or A8 plug is good. A8 is a colder plug.

StevePond
03-24-2002, 07:32 AM
I would suggest a McCoy 59 plug or an OS A3. You want a hot plug over a cold one. The hot plug allows a slightly richer mixture than a cold plug. A richer fuel mixture will help cool the engine. The "temperature' of the plug has no relationship to ambient temperatures from the standpoint of using a "colder" plug to cool off the engine.

Hey guys! Just lookin at some of the pictures and it looks like most of the parts can be traded from an HPI Nitro MT! I have an NMT and love it! I know all the parts inside and out and that ceter roll bar is the same as well as the center shafts, etc. BTW, I am using the HPI 72082 front center Universal dogbone and the HPI 72083 rear center Universal dogbone. They work well! Also, HPI 72230 Slipper Clutch Set is a must for the the truck...wonder how it will do on the RS4 3.:)

Is the HPI RS4 3 SS gunna be released next month in April or are they gunna ship sooner or what?

I want one really bad. It'll be my first Nitro car. I was looking through that list of Option parts and it looks like with those parts installed it should make it a pretty competitive car to Race with.

I wonder how competitive outta the box it will be?

well I have read that it only goes 30 to 35 mph ina few mags but I think this is a little low . I have had mine for three weeks now and I race with friends with cars that are supposed to be faster like the 4-tec and the ofna cars all with two speed trans and they take me out of the hole ( mainly because of the one needle carb ) but on top end i am right with them . I just don't have the low end punch they do . I feel with a two needle carb and a two speed trans I could eaisly beat them ! Not to mention every two or three races they get stuck with rocks in their belts :p . I love this car and can't wait for the hop ups . I already ordered the twospeed and tried to order the carb but they are ou tof stock .

As far as I can see, fitting rear exhaust engine will work okay, but I'm not sure if anyone makes a manifold the right shape to fit. Also, you may have clearance problems with the right rear tire.

If your going to race by yourself JR's XR2 will be find, other then that you need to go FM or PCM if your running with more 5 people because of frequency channels, plus if you get a truck or a buggy after you get your SS the XR3 would be perfect because has 3 model MEMORY. :D LATER DUDE!

Spidermaxx
05-08-2002, 10:50 AM
I have heard nothing but good things about the XR2, and this was from people who do race. You don't NEED a FM radio to race, and in fact there are no more or less channels with AM or FM. However FM is a clearer signal and has a better range. The XR2 has a Two Model Memory (i think). And since I only have a T-maxx and will soon be getting the SS all I need is Two Model Mem. I will not be buying any more RC Cars/Trucks for a long, long, long time, because if I do my Wife would kill me. In addition to, the RC car habit, I also support a RC Plane habit. Up keep and maintenance gets expensive and I am the type of person who like to keep everything in working order.

Maxxthrasher: I pass by the AirAge Publishing office at least twice a day. Once on the way to work and once on the way home. The office is a 5 minute walk from where I live. It looks like a pretty cool office, it is a old converted school house, (i think it was the old high school). Behind the office is a couple of baseball / softball fields, tennis courts and basketball courts. I have taken my T-maxx to the field a couple of time and I have even flown one of my parkflyers up there once or twice. In hopes that I might be able to lure someone out of the office, but no luck. I have been tempted to go into the office but, I think that would be borderline stocking? LOL.... I don't want to seem like sometype of weirdo or something....

P.S. I hope there is no hard feelings about the Caps Lock thing. I have been on forums with members who can get VERY MAD about stuff like that. I was joking more than anything.

First I used the header from the T MAXX and a paris pipe . I also ditched the stock carb for a os unit off of a .15 hyper . Then to top it off my two speed just came in . I have put it all together and now this thing is a beast . Can you say fast !!! I love this car !!! If you are thinking of getting one stop thinking and do IT !!!!!

Ok , that was my two cents . Lataz Yo frontier whats up with you dude? Check this rtr 3 w/ big block evo 4 novamega motor, hope you like .

Well perhaps it may or may not run hot if I were to use this car in 30 or 50 lap course race but I ran this engine 5 or 6 times up and down a parking lot 100yds in my temp reads 180 & 195 which is pretty good w/ 30 percent Odonnell fuel. I use this for drag racing in beating up on rs4s w/ 21s install.

I can never get the engine temp below 230 with the body off and it runs between 255 and 280 with the body on . I can not figure out why . I think i need to get the bigger head . I know it is not the fuel setting because i run very rich .

I'm a complete newbie to RC cars. I also have a little problem with going overboard... I purchased the RTR 3 a month ago, and now I'm hooked. I put in a two speed, and I'm loving life. I have had some problems with the engine however. Seems that it starts easily, but dies after half a tank, and won't start back up. No problem I said, I wanted to see the insides of one of these anyways. And, I kind of want a faster engine too... This is how it always starts.

I went to my LHS, and said that I wanted to use my .15fe as a "learner" (something I can take apart, and screw around with), and that I needed a FAST engine for my car. They hooked me up with a Collari XS12PSr. Ended up needing a new flywheel, and collet. Now I've got everything back together, and to be honest, I'm a bit scared to try it :D . I've heard that the carb on a Collari is a bit hard tune, but I've done a whole lot of reading on tuning engines. Does anyone think this thing will be hard to control? If it is, what other mods will make it easier?

At least I should have a good ride... I may need it after my wife finds out how much this this has cost! ;)

i have an SS ...its GREAT ,,,great handling ,,great SPEED!!!
setup is a breeze I, made mine in 4 hours (seems like much but it isnt...it goes by fast)

only part i didnt like in setup (building it) was building the shocks....its a pain with all the oil and you have to do it precise to make it good and not leak...oh...i forgot the other pain ....making 7 turnbuckles!!!my fingers are still numb

i give it an 11 out of 10 in performance
and a 9 out of 10 for building it

but if your a newbie in R/C...why didnt you just opt for the RTR 3 ?...it doesnt have all the hop-ups but its much easier to build and maintain for a newb:confused:

I would not bother with the aluminium parts...but thats just me... I would grab a light weight fly wheel instead. Ther rs4 3 comes with two sets of rear cariers 8 and 10 degs..so Im not sure if you realy want to replace those, at least till you know what you like.

I got the short rpm rod ends...I think they are the ones you nead for road cars(shorter turnbuckels!)...

I also grabed a racing clutch, and a sway bar set. hpi 209a is the one.

All I have to say is that this is a AWSOME kit! It went together realy smooth. The only minor gripe I have is that they should have pre-installed the correct spring in the 2-speed. It took me about 5.5 hrs to build. I ended up pulling my radio out of my NMT for it. I ahve run about 7 tanks through now, and the little 12r is starting to realy make some power. When I bought the kit I also got:

cvec 135z
fiber brake
air filter
fuel filter
rpm rod ends
Bocca grean seal bearings (24)
sway bar set

how do u know if it is shifting 1st car i built so......it is fast thow its the type ss havnt even gone full throttle and it is quick only thing is it dsent move as soon as i pull the trigger slightly..and the steerring servo does not go back to straight after i turn the wheel......any thoughts????????

TopKatz
06-25-2002, 12:56 PM
you will know when it shifts. The motor has to brake in a little befor it generates enuff rpm to engage. You can also adjust teh 2speed to shift a little sooner if it still does not engage after say 10 tanks.

Hesitation is probaly due to you runnnig rich...which is because the motor is not broken in yet. During brake in you should start adjusting the setting a little. You can also adjust the lowne screw a little.

The stearing could be a couple things. New linkages are tight, and offer more resistance then a worn in setup. You may want to invest in a high torq servo for the stearing.

I slaped together a new movie of my SS. It is getting close to be broken in now. I have the 2speed shifting much more consistantly. I still sort of **** at driving it, but Im progresing.

This is my first movie with Adobe premiere. I just switched over from editing on a ibook and imovie to using my pc. Premiere is a excelent app. It is the first one on the pc that I have found that is better then apples imovie.

The video is short, but a big file. You may want to right click/save as. Streaming it will probaly give you a choppy result(although it is on a t1). I also have it in quicktime format, however it is about 13megs larger, for some reason.....

TopKatz Productions - Rs43 type ss !!!!! (http://www.intercityinc.com/nmt/rs43ss.wmv)

Bruckner was the lowest price I could find for the RTR and the SS version. I think I found one other site but it seemed kinda shady... didn't advertise in RC Car Action and they never responded to my e-mails, and the phone number didn't exist when I tried calling!

can one of you guys do me a favor........(or all of you)......I just got to step 7,and when I drop the 2 sp in,it has about an 1/8th of an inch side to side play, and it''s because the 76822b plastic collar slides off the roll pin(the 47 tooth gear side)..when youi install the 72108 cup on,it doesn't but up against the collar(like it does on the other side).....this is allowing side to side play, and the collar looks like it will strip where it sits on the roll pin if it moves....if everything is held tight, then the bottom carrier 85306 doesn't hold the bearings tight....there's a little play, and the shaft moves side to side...

or is it supposed to and the driveshafts help center it when they're installed..thanks.......

WhoKnowsWho
07-04-2002, 10:57 AM
I observed the same play in the assembly too. The car is done though and it seems to work fine. No stripping issues or anything. The only minor problem I have noticed is the brake pads stay put after I release the brake, I think some springs installed between them will help them disengage though.

fastharry
07-04-2002, 01:16 PM
after I got the gearboxes installed, with the front driveshaft and the 2 little o-rings,the slop is gone...they probably allow som slop for that reason......

My brakes stuck also...take out the brake cam,and you see the little hole in the gearbox it fits into?......mine was a little tight in there and the cam wouldn't turn free when you put that little brace on....I took my Dremel witha small grinding stone and enlarged the hole a TINY bit...put that brace back on and its great....

It is basicaly a HPI .15 SS ported. They make realy high RPM's(like around 40k). That is no lie...the thing screams! But Im not sure on the durability... that seams like a lot or rpms for what amounts to a 15SS

I have a thread over on the HPI board about putting a RE into a rs4-3. Basicaly you have to shim the motor mount with a couple washer , and use a NTC3 manifold.

rpm can be directly translated into speed...hp is how fast it gets to that speed

hey,
i just got a nitro rs4 3 type SS, and im still new to all this r/c stuff. Anyway, i just have a question

when your car is on idle and when the car is off the ground, should the wheels be spinning?

when i set it back on the road the car doesnt move
but once i pick it up the wheels spin

is this normal?

any info is helpful
thanks!

dcgear
07-17-2002, 03:49 AM
here are some more questions

1) how many tanks should i run before i can punch it to full throttle?

2) whats a good amount of nitro to use in your fuel?

3) is it better to break in with a fuel that contains less nitro?

thanks :)

TopKatz
07-17-2002, 11:19 AM
dcgear - The wheels can spin while off the ground, as long as the car does not more on the ground...that is fine. However the sound of the motor is more important..is it idling? you should be able to tell.

For abc motors I do this.

1 tank statick idle
3 tanks 0 -1/2 throtel burst runns..alowing the motor to cool at bottem dead center between runs
3 tanks 0 -3/4 throtel burst runns alowing to cool between runs
3- tanks 0-full varied speeds burst runns...again alowing to cool between runs

then I just run it, and will still kinda babby it for a bit. If you look at each tank as 10minutes of run time you should have almost a hour of run time on the motor befor you hit full throtel at all.

you should use %20 nitro...that is what your motor is shimed for..dont change % unless you know what your doing. Its best to use the fuel your going to run with.

Two things, does the ss have pivot ball supension?

What advantage does pivot ball suspention have?

TopKatz
07-17-2002, 12:09 PM
no it does not. my understanding is that pivot ball alows for easy adjustment of camber castor, and is stronger then lower a-arm/turn buckle type suspention.

nIkKo
07-17-2002, 12:16 PM
Well have you all gone through liking the ss with out it? He is what I am deciding between:

1. Nitro rs4 3 ss w/ jrxr2 and then the cvec dual exasut pipe.

2. Nitro tc3 rtr(check the website i am not lying) and then putting a two speed and then eveuntually the radio will be a jr xr2. The rtr comes with an ae12 instead of a ae 15 and it doesnt have a two speed or threaded alluminum shocks. It also comes with the jaguar am radio.

TopKatz
07-17-2002, 12:23 PM
I have no problem with the a-arm turnbuckle type suspention.

My guess would be that the 12r is a better motor then the ae12. And that the over all value would be better in the SS, because you get a 2-speed, adn you buy the radio you want, instead of throwing out the one they give you.

You wont hear a argument from me though that the NTC3(the kit!) is a technicly superior car then the SS...this does not mean that it is automaticly going to beat a SS on the track. Im equaly as sure that a SS will hold its own against a NTC3 with a simaler motor, and gearing.

You just nead to decide what fits your budget, your driving(are you racing, or bashing) and how much maintnece you want to do(do you want to rebuild ball diffs every other weekend?)

nIkKo
07-17-2002, 12:28 PM
Ball diffs? On the tc3?

TopKatz

yes, the ntc3 has front and rear ball diffs...and they requier maintnence often

RaiderFootbal27
07-17-2002, 01:59 PM
the rs4 3 ss has a bigger head for the engine, and a 2 speed transmission, and its not rtr, so u have to put everything together, which takes like 20 hours, its a lot faster too

dcgear

TopKatz: thanks for the info!!
heres how i broke mine in,
5-6 tanks on idle
3 tanks on low and mid throttle

and i havent gone full throttle yet
im using 15% nitro for break in and then switching to 20% when finished.

is it okay to use 1 year old fuel?

Raiderfootball27: im new and i took my time it totalled to about 7-8 hours, 20 hours is a lot!!

TopKatz
07-17-2002, 03:41 PM
5-6 tanks at idle problay did nothing for you...it was a waste of time. But it did not hurt it.

do at least 3 more tanks at 3/4 burst runs. then 3 tanks at 0-full bust runns...varying speed !

letting the motor cool down in between runs...also set the piston to bdc(botem dead center) while cooling. This will let the sleve go back to its shape!

you should be using %20 all the time, and 1 year old fuel is just that...old...dump it!

20 hrs is a realy long time for the SS kit.... I think i built mine in about 5-6..but I have a NMT also, so i knew what I was doing.

dcgear
07-17-2002, 04:06 PM

its not a isue if you use more then what they give you. If you only used what they gave you then it could be.

Check the mesh of the motor to spur first...if that is good, then maybe think about tearing down the diffs, and rebuilding them with some more grease.

It appear to have alot of toein and the car handled very well at the low speeds I was going. I just took out most of the toe-in and I hope I'm not making a mistake. Camber appears to be positive. I am going to check it out next. On the NTC3 inx. the manual gives alot of setup info.

Geez no need to be so nasty.

The RS4 3 has more than that in common, it is the same chasis geometry, shaft drive, diffs, etc..granted they have been altered to fit for a car...read the September issue of R/C CAR the review is pretty good. Or you could e-mail Wes Mott at HPI to confirm it, suit yourself.

Any way back to the main topic, I am not placing any judgement at all on the RS4 3 I was just surprised they decided to drop the Racer 2 instead of further development in an actual racing chasis. We have an RS4 here at my house and were just ready to see them develop something serious for a racer.
By the way R/C Car did race the RS4 3, they put some foamies on it and they thought it ran with the "real" race cars very well. Sorry if I injured your SS's ego, but I was not complaining about the SS rather I was moaning HPI still doesn't think it's time to build a purpose built racer. Peace and Love :)

my SS's ego is intact. The fact is that they are not the same car. Yes it has some parts in commen with the NMT. However it has more parts incomen with the RS4-2.

The fact is that none of HPI's cars are pro level cars(posible exception being the proceed).. what the rs4-3 is, is a more durable street/parking lot TC. The Rs4-2 and the racer were not pro calaber cars...

My "nasty" response was fueld by your uniformed stament about the car. I asure you, it is not a NMT. I have one of each. How is the geyomitry the same when the shocks, shock towers, chasie length, a-arms and turnbuckles are all difrent? Trust me...it is not a NMT...

The parts in commen are the center spur gear holder, teh front and rear diff housing, and some hardware. It does not have the same chasie, or radio tray, or 2speed. It has new planetary gears for the diffs, and a spring for the front diff to provide a limeted slip of sorts.

The car may not be what you were looking for...but that does not make it bad car.

I didn't say it was an NMT I said it was a modification of the NMT which is a direct quote from R/C Car September 2002. Never did I say it was an NMT. And never once did I say I did not like the car, I know its not the car for me. Hi! I'm in the market for an easy to maintain reasonably competitive 1/10th nitro car that's not to much above USD300. The SS fits the bill allright but the recent release of the Yokomo GT-4 RTR puts me in a dilemma.....its listed at about USD330.

I've noticed that the gear ratios is a lot more aggressive on the Yokomo (it is geared about the same ratios as stock NTC3s). I know the SS has lots of hop-ups, but so does the Yokomo.

Which would be the best 'value for money' buy?

My brother will soon own a Duratrax SFGP and I don't want that USD200 kit car to outperform my potentially USD300 kit.

Also, my local track has a lot of Thunder Tiger TS4N Pros & CEN kits with the occasional Tamiya TG10 running on weekends. Will the SS or Yokomo be competitive against these?

I am thinking about picking up a used ss minus the engine because you cant always trust what people do to there engines, anyways i was thinking about that new hb .12. I like the way my SS handles. My track is real sticky. I run it with the shocks laid down and 33r tires. I am about to get the whole set of associated springs. I am going to put like the med. in front and the soft med. in the rear. I like the way it handles right now though with stock springs. I have like 1/4 in spacer in the back and like 1/4 in. in the front. Oh yeah i also am running the 8 degree castor blocks up front and 1 degree of toe in in the rear. Set up like this the car handles really well. I love it.

ok, i have the HPI RS4 3 SS, i've oly had it for about 3 weeks, when i put it together and everything, it was running fine,
then, when my bro wanted to put grease in tranny, he took it apart, he put grease in it, put it back together, when i tried to spin it, it didn't not spin easily, so we tried it out, and then tranny would not shift, it would just go junh, junh, junh, jung, at full throttle, well i thought i needed to adjust the shift point, so i did, too much, and the screw ball and spring fell out, i got the maintenece kit, there are 2 kinds of springs in it, longer one, and shorter one, i tried both, none worked, so what could this be, it has not worked since my bro took it apart, i took it apart again, to check if it was right, no teeth missing, i put it back together by the manual, and i've tried everything, it just won't shift, help out guys! o ya, i also replaced my stock clutch with a hpi racing clutch, im not sure if it ever shifted with it or not, but i don't think that is the problem, im not that good at figuring it out, u guys are the experts help me out

double check that the teeth on the tranny matches up with the teeth on the clutch.

also check if there are any rocks stuck inbetween, cuz ive had that happen to my belt drive rs4 2 before and it was hard to move until i took out the peice of pebble.

im no expert but i hope that helps

Ive been real happy with my SS....it has better on gas steering thn my Tc3 nitro's but isn't as stable........but its still fun...

one thing that bothers me is the car has a tendency to unload the rear tires if you get off the gas in a sweeper..my tc3 don't do that...they come out alittle, but not violent like the SS..

we race on a fast track....the funny part is,this car took me to 9th in the a main at teh HPI challenge in NY...and I never felt that problem as the course was laid out like a tight club course...

I'm running the super chassis, threaded shocks, etc..a basic set-up...6 mm ride hgt(f&r) stad camber settings, green pro linears(bassicaly the same tension as the stock black springs)....

a couple of guys at HPI have noticed that tendency also...

when the car unloads, teh back end comes right around.....and yes,I set tweak etc.....

ever notice this?.................

Sup Harry....

I have not noticed that problem in a while. With the stock set up I had lots of problems with keeping the rear end in check. Im not sure what specific thing fixed my problems...but here is my set up.

I run either HPI 26mm xpatern belted(bashing) or sorex 24mm r36 slicks(when we have a course set up) ..both with blue pro-inserts. Im using 50wt shock oil all around. White springs in the back with 1/8 spacers. I shortened the rear shocks by 1mm also. In the front Im running hot red springs with 1/8th spacers and stock length shocks. I also have green sway bars on front and back. The rear sways I have the ball stud mounted through a o-ring to tighten it up.

My car tracks like a champ...and it gets super sticky with the sorex tires on.

tk..thanks for the reply.....are those red and white springs teh racer2 springs?.....also,you're running the stock chassis,right?...so no droop settings?.....when you put the o ring in,did it help the sway bars be more consistant?........

I belive they are the same springs that come with the racer2..but Im not posotive.

Yes, Im running the stock chasie...no droop

the o-ring definitly tightened up the swaybar...the ball stud has zero play now.... so it seams to work a little better now.

I actually put harder springs in the rear..and it helped..its like the rear end pivots (or unloads) so with harder springs it can't lean as much...so going on that,i bet the sway bar helped....

i'll try that this week...Thanks

also, have you tried going around a sweeper and gotten off the gas?......thsi is the only time it does that...on gas it tracks as well as my tc3..in fact better....this car actually turns in better "on gas"...

Your right about it turning better under power. It took me a bit to get used to it...I thought all TC's were like that? Anyways... I never glide through corners, IM either on the gas, or Im goosing the throtel to keep the reves up and keep some power to the wheels. Other wise it gets squerly. I think it has to do with the gears.

When your not on the gas it is in 1st gear...and if your still carying good speed that 1st gear is to low to handel the speed, and the rear end basicaly skids out...like if you down shifted too low and it caused a skid in a real car...thats what I think happens..... just try goosing the throtel a little to keep it in second gear, or to taper the change in speed a little more.
