Nopw not yet, the last couple summers I have been autocrossing and that pretty much took all my time and and didn't really leave me time to think about anything else  soooo this year I am thinking to do a little less autocrossing and maybe a little more of otherstuff. Where abouts is this track?
What do you race?

From Morinville. Just out of Edmonton. Have 3 Duratrax Evader stadium trucks. Lots of Hop ups. Hoping to help start a track in Morinville/St Albert that caters to 1/18 and 1/10 electric units. Brightside Hobbies, my local LHS in Morinville, is very helpful, and is willing to provide the use of the lot behind his store for an electric scale track. If you live in the edmonton area and are interested in helping out, or in racing electric off road. Post here. Also, if anyone knows anything about edmonton area indoor carpet racing, drop me a line. I am salivating about a factory team TC4.

Old Gary: dude, you have a choice of two tracks in the lower mainland!
1) CAMRC/Kamikaze (http://www.camrc.ca)
We just finished with major track work this weekend, and the track is *beautiful*. Located in upper Coquitlam. Racing starts Saturday April 1 - less than two weeks away!
2) VMAR/Riverside Raceway (http://www.vmar.ca)
Located in New Westminster. Unfortunately they will be fully rebuilding the track starting in April (last I heard), so will not be racing until that is done.

03-19-2006, 02:58 PM
I encourage all Canadians to post pictures and specs of their RC vehicles.
Here we go...
http://devras.com/rc/mbx5_02.jpg
- MBX-5 Prospec, mostly stock (hey, it's the tricked-out version already) with the exception of a few extra aluminium parts for strength (both radio tray/servo posts and rear chassis brace bracket), aftermarket o-rings in the diffs to prevent leaks, and CVD boots on the three rear CVDs (the front don't really get dirty enough to warrant them).
- OS .21 V-Spec engine with an OS T-2050 pipe/header
- TKO ceramic bearings in the clutch
- Spektrum system (just got it back from Spektrum a few days ago with all the latest upgrades & fixes)
- KO EX-10 Helios transmitter
- Airtronics 94358 servo with metal primary gear
- Hitec HS-5925 for throttle/brake.
There's probably a few more things that I'm forgetting, but that covers most of it.
Is mud an accessory? If so, it's got plenty of that right now after being at the track yesterday! ;)

-Caddilac Escalade cody painted with a patriotic flare :D (pink was unintentional :o )
-Novak SPY and Hitec radio and servo
-GH piggyback shocks
-CRC titanium turnbuckles (I happened to break one of these,!#$?)
-BBs and CVDs
-Trinity Monster wheels (of which one I have managed to break), Monster Termination motor, and metal pinions
-6 GP1100s
Plus one accessory I don't like, a blown diff. Ball diff on the way.

I do use Flitecraft and have since I've been in the hobby for 20 years now. I can tell you it's not the same as it use to be back then. Back in the day they had the basement as well as the unit next door too but then they downsized. They also had a shop and track in London ages ago.
There use to be a good group of guys that would get together at the french school by Toyota on the weekends. You'd get on-road, off-road, 1/8 buggy, MT's and even some park fliers would come out. Not sure if it will be the same this year but I'm looking forward to racing in London this year.

For anyone lookin for an off-road track in the GTA, my LHS is opening one up pretty soon: www.rcsports.ca
FastCats (www.fastcats.ca) is the best indoor/outdoor on-road track I have seen or heard of in the area.
I'm in Woodbridge, ON, and am mostly into onroads. I have a TC3 and a Micro RS4, and will soon have a Blade CP Heli :)
Finally winter's over!:D :D :D

tadium54
03-28-2006, 10:51 PM
egh, ive been to fastcats a few times. they will never get my bussiness again if i can help it. they only cater to on-road, and will do nothing for the off road guys. they also have a very strange bussiness policy, such as not locking the doors when closed, yet having your useless family employes play games instead of helping the customer. to me thats just dumb.
ill go to hobby hobby or order wholesale through a friend if i have to
tadium54
03-28-2006, 11:07 PM
lol peter
the track isnt too bad id say. not too ruted, but i havent been there in a while. worst comes to worst, i know of a few areas that are perfect for pretty much any scale to drive on
Neon_Dave
03-29-2006, 04:39 PM
Lol I was talking about the track itself. I can't really compliment the staff , but I must say the track is pretty good.
Otherwise I completely agree with ya :)
-Dave
tadium54
03-29-2006, 06:50 PM
oh yea, the track is pretty nice, ill give ya that. its wide open too, but that to me just doesnt outweigh the bad bussiness

03-30-2006, 09:33 PM
i mean atleast hobby hobby caters to every scale and the people are friendly. fast cats is, how can i say this- lacking all of it
Neon_Dave
03-31-2006, 11:44 AM
Well, they are only into onroad, and are heavily biased towards Xray, for whatever reason. They don't even carry HPI parts!
Either way, I have RC Sports like 10 mins from my house, they have the biggest hobby shop I've ever seen, have just about everything you can imagine, and are very knowledgeable and friendly. They will help you with anything, and never have just profits in mind. Now thats a good LHS!

Hi Folks,
Need to make some changes to the names of a couple of cities listed still waiting on exact information on Glenwood R/C Park's location for the MAP link.
As for classes folks, well, it's mostly (only?) NITRO at MOST outdoor offroad tracks, some offer electric classes but attendance has been miminal, that being said, I think with with new and afforable 'brushless' / 'lipo' systems coming on board this year we'll see new life given to the class, but who really knows, maybe my 'XXX' will come out of the retirement that it's been in since 1999, the year Electric Offroad Racing died for me and almost everyone in the local area.
Hyper 7 - Keeper of the C.O.O.R.S. list
PS: However I did get to run my RC18T indoors and thought it's an excellent choice for indoor offroad racing, cheap, indestructible and fun !

Hey there is a guy in Morinville AB who lived in Ontario who is building a dirt oval on his acerage. He left his 2 RC10 vintage oval modded units at the LHS. They gave me his name and number.... i lost it, but intend on looking him up. Also Morinville is going to be home to a new monster truck play track behind the high school, being built by another guy. For details, talk to Don at Brightside hobbies.

What do you think? I've got a hitec radio in it (75mhz, AM), Novak Spy, MIP ball diff and CVDs, BBs, four stock plastic chassis parts, the rest are Dynamite and GH aluminum, Trinity monster tires and also a set of RPM Bullys with sand paddles dyed chrome red, two custom painted bods, one stock bod, GH shocks, Losi shocks, plus some support stuff, misc. screws, spares, stuff like that.
Name your price (reasonably), and I'll lower it within reason to account for worn parts. Or you can always fly over to Fergus! J/K There are pics on this thread. Anyone can PM me if they are interested in buying it, especially if you live in Ontario.

I race with the Ontario 1/8 On Road Club in Hamilton. The track is nice and just sealed this year. We also have 1/10 touring, 1/10 open and 1/5 racers too. We hosted the canadian gas nationals recently. Swayze RC is there for almost all races and carries large selection of serpent, mugen, kyosho, & delta parts in his van. My names a little obvious, im running a VERY heavily modded rc10B4 (as in 40 series mashers and aluminum) and a tc4 or jrxs-R by febuary. I work at Grand River Hobbies/RC Guys (the name will be permanently changed to Grand river hobbies soon) and have been into rc cars since i was 7, helis since i was 11 and I dont remember when i got into planes but it was between 5 and 10.
MANY of you seem to live in the Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Fergus Etc. area and you will be very pleased to know that GRH will be attempting o get a track going this spring for offroad and i have also heard rumours of an indoor onroad track in cambridge for the winter. the track will most likely be located between the Laurention center and fairview mall.
Some stats you may not know about as far as RCs go in this area, since the begining of november we have sold over 10 cars, during the summer and spring the number is about double, we sell a gallon of car fuel a day at least and up to 10 during the spring/summer, during just this summer (june, july, august) we sold 180 O.S. 8 plugs!
Thats pretty much all i had to say, oh, and i thought it was kind of funny that a guy named traxxas rules is running a savage...

Hi everyone,
My name is Jason and I live in Winnipeg. I own:
-4tec 3.3 (for sale)
-Revo 3.3
-RC18B
-Micro-T
-CRC Bloody Knife 3.2R
My brother and I built an off road track for our Revos last summer and we had a blast. We want to make some changes to it this summer and hopefully attract some more racers. We also want to build another track for our RC18s. I bought a 12' x 16' piece of carpet for racing the Micro-Ts in the garage. Can you guess that we are addicted to racing...lol. If anyone else is interested in joining us for any of these, let me know, the more the merrier.
Thanks,
Jason

Wow, totally forgot about this forum completely. Talk on miata.net (my new ride) brought up RC and I remebered about the $500+ Rally TC3 that has been sitting on one of my shelves.
Info again:
http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/8464/dcp2467so5.jpg
Don't have any current pics.
Basically:
Team Associated TC3 with rally kit / some factory team hopups.
HPI Lotus Elise Body
6 Cell Matched GP3300's
Mtroniks Genesis Brushless ESC
Can't remeber which Felagio Brushless Motor
JR XS3 - Awesome radio, Fully sythnesized!
JR RS300 Reciever
Custom parts: Aluminum Skidplate, Chassis machining.
It's stupid fast. At least 60mph.
Built it last year, ran it pretty hard on the street replaced lots of broken parts and sort of lost interest. The body no longer looks anywhere close to that. I bought a new body from HPI the Lotus Elise Mk.1 (It's actually an Exige) Dont even know where that body is anymore. Havent touched the car in at least 4 months.
Should have some fun with it in the snow, but need to wateproof the reciever and servo. The motor+esc are waterproof.
This thing doesnt need any pvc tires to drift. Breaks all four loose from a roll.
It's not your average touring car, It has around 1 inch of groundclearance due to my mods.

Looking for some R/Cers in the Hamilton area to get together for a small show at my Church when the good weather comes around I'm trying to finalize things. I'd like to have all the R/Cs represented. (Boats and planes will have to be static no room to fly or set up a pool) hellies can fly.
Also looking to get a small club going for the car and truck people.
