I have been flying models for about fifty years. But, Electric and FOAM are new to me. I live about 75 miles from the nearest Hobby Shop,so all that I buy is ON-LINE or ON-PHONE. I need to find a source for PAINT. Both for the hard plastics (cowling, wheels,ETC.) and for the foam parts also (styrofoam, Depron,ETC.) and YOU GUYS seem to have all the answers.. Thanks Much

Geez, to tell you the truth I don't think if I can answer you Q, but I replied, just for the hell of it.

1) Did you try the leading Online HS?
2) Try browsing for KEYWORD r/c paint.

My paintings, or the kind I use is Testor paint, work well for me so far.

Check out my thread in Painted TigerMoth.

2NG. ----- I'll get back to ya! and see if I can broaden a helping hand.

Thanks 2ng, Your response is very welcome. I have found, Quite by accident, a new approach for me. It involves an artical from on of the magazines I get, on spraying latex, As in exterior house paint. I am going to give it a try on this "SUNWHEEL" that you asked about in the Tiger Moth thread..Would have gotten back to you sooner , but I had a HUGE pine tree laying on my house. the plane is still in the box. It was a christmass present, and I don't want to rush into things:( .I'll let you know the results. Maybe post a picture. Thanks again

Merlin,

I would need to report, from you :D One for the Sunwheel and for the TM, once airborne. Merlin, how is the sunwheel by the way, is this airplane reliable to fly? Is the foam sturdy? Is it a fun plane?

thanks,
2NG

Yes
I too like the Testors paint.
I have had great luck with thier spray paint too , suprisingly.
I have read about the latex in air brush techniques and that seems real promising.
Also, I have seen posts that Krylon spray paints work good on foam. I have only used Testors that worked.

Rustoleum melts the foam. Or at least it did with me.

Hey, 2ng, Toywizard, I had to pick up some lube for the new "S-300" that I am going to try in the "Sunwheel", and I stoped at the MART while I was there. I found the KRYLON hobby/kraft enamel they call Short Cuts, in 3oz.spray cans. It is made for foams and plastic, I've never seen it before. I got 5 colors to try out. 2ng These pics that you have posted are great. Keep up the good work. ;) Merlin
