I broke two rear skidplates and a rear bulkhead in about 10 minutes of jumping a 18 inch jump.
I want to know what skidplates and bulkheads are the strongest and cheapest. Will the rpm 3 piece skidplate keep it from breaking or will i have to buy aluminum skidplates?
Also if you have a link to some really cheap maxx parts i would appreciate it.
thanks.

I'm not much of an E-Maxx guy, but I'd say check out eBay and find some cheap parts there.

get some hard core skids and look at some ga bulks there a we bit expensive for hte 6061 but are really durable and a great deal at that or you could go with powerline or new era eather way there all around 30-80 bucks 30 being powerline and 80 being hardcore

I'd recommend going with the RPM parts.
I haven't found a way yet to destroy their parts for the Emaxx and they are MUCH cheaper then the aluminum.
The skids and bulkhead supports are excellent.
The only aluminum I put on my Emaxx was a servo protector, and the center skid plate over the RPM part, but the aluminum skid plate was something that was much more for looks than actual need for the part.
Also, I bought tons of spare Traxxas parts off Ebay for pennies, since people buy all the aluminum goodies and want to sell the plastic. I have an entire suspension, chassis, battery mounts, bulkheads and braces, skid plates, bumpers, hubs and axles, steering bellcranks, toe and steering link rods, etc for about THREE Emaxxes and it cost me approx 35 bucks total. Compare that to close to $300 for those parts from any dealer and you can see why I stick with the plastic parts instead of the upgrades which in most cases aren't needed anyway and only add weight to the truck.
I love the Metal Maxx craze because it saves me hundreds on spare parts when the metal guys go to sell the stock unused plastic parts. :D

RPM parts are pretty cheap and durable but dont look as nice as aluminum.

Aluminum doesn't look nice when it's scratched up. And it's stays bent. I agree with hpiguy, RPM is the way to go.

If you want aluminum. Supermaxx is the way to go. Not a single SuperMaxx part has been broken. (other than pillowballs)

The prices on the site are suggested retail, not what you'd pay if you bought the parts from a LHS
As for bulks...Check out Great Assembly.

I was allways confused about this latest craze of aluminum? Like was posted above aluminum bend and stays bent. Also it put alot of totally unnessary stress on the rest of your drive tran, and chassis, Also the E/T-Maxxs are tanks to begin with, the lighter you can make your truck the faster it'll be the easier it'll be on your drive train, and the longer your batteries will run.
If I had a E-Maxx I'd be researching heavy into ways to lighten it up, and to start with lowering the center of gravity, The Extreme Chassis is the best I've seen, and the lightest. Here's a pic of one.

Here's another picture of the Xtreme Racing Maxx Chassis .. About $120 bucks with battery bars. Add $10 bucks and get battery cups.

They have a guy in New Orleans with a SuperMaxx and he as broken some stuff other than the Pillow Balls. I know for sure he broke a lower suspension arm. But he didnt like having the .21 in his maxx because of breakage and sold it to his next door neighbor. If i can i will TRY to get a pic when i go back up to N.O.

The SuperMaxx arms are made out of Titanium ... I'm pretty sure if you chucked one off the Empire State Building it would break. :D
Titanium!! Jeez!!! I don't think you COULD break it!

Skribble: The SuperMaxx arms are 7075 T6 aluminum. If they were Titanium the kit would cost 5X as much as it does now, lol.
still, 7075 is tough stuff:D
