Search the Monster Truck Forum for the same question. It has been asked many times. I like the T-Maxx better than the MP.

narrow it down to this. what your LHS stocks and what you plan on doing with it. if you plan on doing huge ass jumps and really rought terrain stick with the T. more subtle terrain but you want more speed (about 2mph) go with the MP. i would go with the T personally. way more aftermarket hop up parts and it can be a racer and it can actually handle big air without flipping on its roof.
One thing I like about my MP is that it doesn't need a lot of aftermarket parts to be a great truck. On the other hand, there are plenty of go-fast goodies for the people that want them. Here is a shot of my MP just to give an idea of what you can build it into. All the guys I race with have full SuperMaxxs and I can hang with all of them on the track. Who actually wins is up to the driver that day :) As for my Maxx. After having it sitting in pieces for 2 months I robbed the suspension and diffs for a hybrid project.

I like that tube frame on your Monster Pirate. It makes it look so much more!
Its good looking and functional. Here is a coulpe shots I captured from a video clip a friend shot. This is what happens when you launch your truck off a large jump and suddenly realize you have no brakes :lol The truck is about 7-8' high in the first pic and the landing (if you can call it that) is around 35-40' from the take-off. This is why I run the PPP cage. The first pics I posted were taken last night so the cage is definatly solid.

hey dude mp is the way to go!!! I have a stock mp i got for xmas and this thing hauls ass lol. No matter what is in it it is a great truck, huge, durable, and FAST!!! Ill post a picture in a bit but i have to get pull start fixed broke it today. Only thing i dont like is the .21 engine is hard to get started sometimes it involves a lot of playing around with.

Like TC3 said, it's been asked many times and I was in the same situation. I like all the go fast goodies and realized that I would have to have spent a bunch to get the Maxx at the power level of the MP. Don't get me wrong, the Maxx (E or T) are great RTR trucks but the MP has more power out of the box.
If you're thinking of racing or going in that direction I would go with the Maxx. If you just want to bash then the MP is the ticket.
