Can anyone tell me the essential hop ups a T-Maxx needs to make it a good basher, I am not concerned with looks and breaking the bank. Just some advice from experianced T-Maxx users.

get the mip rear stinger, its much louder that the stock muffler and looks better too, i got mine for about $52.00 at my local hobby shop but you can get them at alot of places for about $39.99, it is a good buy i would get it if i were you much more speed, great hop up.

The first thing i bought for my Maxx was a spool for the rear end, it gives you way better off road capabilites, much better!!! But the problem with that was i was always breaking rear axles from landing jumps just alittle off. So i just got a set of dynamite cvds that will solve the breaking problems. Another good cheap mod is the carb flip....much easier to tune your maxx....basicly just flip the carb and the linkage. And take apart your exhaust and take the baffle out...its crap....will make it louder....dont know if it does anything to performance

The proline Extra long suspension and Cvd's are a great hop-up.
You can actually corner now with some good speed without flipping. The other guys are right also, a new exhaust will help that little .15 get moving and it sounds great.

First tuned pipe mine associateed $18, Second better air filter $12, Third Rpm skids that go over stock ones $18, Forth Rpm A arm if you have not broke a stock one your gonna $10 a corner, Fifth Rmp front bumper. Thats a good start. For bashing 3, 4,@5 most important. I got 15 tooth racers edge clutch for rock climbing and wheeliies $15!! There is a great loss of top speed thuogh. The tran shifts into reverse even when boundup in the rocks. Hope this helps some what. I,m working on my MB. Masters in Bashing:cool: :) :D

The stinger exhaust blows man dont get it get the traxxas pipe. My buddy had a stinger on his max and i could beat him using the traxxas pipe. He also had problems when jumping he would land on the rear bumper and the stinger would stick in the mud and kill the engine. He did the little piece of rubber over the end but all that did was keep the mud out it still died. He eventually landed hard and bent the header when the stinger hit the ground. wound up getting an m16. Oh and if you like to jump your maxx my first mod would be aluminum shocks (like the bigbore) to prevent them from blowing apart and aluminum skids and bulks, they tend to break when you land really hard.

Well I don't know if I would say it blows. I had one and it improved the top end signifigantly. Its better than a stock Maxx pipe. But a gutted stock pipe is just as good.
purplers is dead on about one thing, its shifts way to much weight to the rear end. I was always landing on my tail with this pipe, and yes it will get cloged with dirt and kill the engine.
As far as a pipe goes, get the Associated pipe with a big tube header. If you want to know where to get the header email me jadams@sysmatrix.net
