I can't make up my mind. Should i canvert my MBX R2 into a monster truck, or leave it as is. what do you think.

Almost every time you take a truck not built for Clod tires it'll allway break to easy.

No, it's a buggy, so Monster Pirate Wheels and tires will, fit on it. Also i was thinking of changing the suspension a little. If i put rear shocks in the front, and a front shock tower in the rear, I'm thinking it will make the buggy have good ride hight.
Its really up to you if you want a monster or a buggy but here are some shots to get you going should you chose Monster. This is an MBX R2 I bought for my girlfriend and have converted it to a monster racer. It has my old set of UE SuperPirate rims w/ mulchers and has been fitted with an MP spur and center spool using a PPP GT kit to correct gearing for the monster sized tires. http://perfplusparts.netfirms.com/ The GT kit needed some minor mods to be fitted to the MBX (it was designed for Monster Blazer or GTLX and the tranny mounts differ slightly) but the company is working on mounts that will eliminate the difference. The only other part needed is the Ofna truck body mounts (also in the pics) and you'll be set.

Ooo! Shiny! I like the looks o' that, I do. I just wanted some elses opinion on what I should do, cause I couldn't deside. Thanks for the input. What about my idea for the suspension? Would that work?
Thanks again.:D
I would recommend the tall rear tower for the front with long shocks all around. You should be able to get a good ride height with the stock rear tower. I think you'll find that the chassis is the limiting factor on the rear suspension height. All it would need is a little dremel work to get some extra height and travel.

If you do it, let us know how it goes...I am thinking the same thoughts about my MBX.

Thanks for the fast response guys. I think I might do this, though I'm going to need some money. So, if you all send $50, I'll be set! I wish.
Yeah, anyways I really like these rims.

They are $150, so I'd better start saving. :D And what gear ratio and such should I use? I'll try andget pics as soon as possible.
Those rims are from PPP, the same place I got the GT kit and will soon have a rollcage from. They are nice but I've started running the SaBR nylon racing rims on my MP. The gearing change with the GT kit fits a 65 tooth spur gear (stock on the MP) and a center spool on place of the center diff and 51 tooth spur. The lower gearing and the spool make for some mean holeshots with the Monster sized tires. I have heard mention of installing a HD ring gear in the diffs as well. Those should be the only needed mods to make your MBX a tough MT.

well i put on the GTP wheels and body chopped the body mounts down, then put on the soft stock springs and mouted the shocks all the way out on the arms and in on the towers with no preload spacers, and i put in the two speed tranny with the 12/16 clutchbell to handle the new gear ratio
pretty simple
