I'm thinking of making red chrome like those yard balls. I was thinking red tint to white or silver pearl! anybody has any suggestions.
Maybe try spraying Candy Red, then back it with Chrome, and then back the whole thing with Black.....should come out pretty cool!!!
Ex:-->Same technique with Candy Blue looks like the Blue on the LRP ESC's........:D

I tried a light coat of red and then silver but not guite what I was looking for, I'll have to give the chrome a shot. good thing I keep my extra body cutouts for samples. thanks, jeff
Just make sure your red coat is transparent...that's why I suggested Candy Red, cause you can see through it, and the chrome paint will shine through giving the effect of red chrome.......good luck!!:)
Here's an example of Chazoom Teal backed with Chrome, and then backed with Black.....

would it work too if you put a thin chrome coat then the red?
I don't think it works the other way around....chrome is transparent, but when another color other than black is sprayed, it dulls the chrome effect, especially if you spray it at more than 15 psi....when I backed Chrome with Blue Streak(from the can.......by the way, don't use a can to spray the backing color for chrome, really dulls it), it came out like a Shiny Silver!!...
It still looks OK, but I was going for that True Chrome look....
