wheel rim color change?

Hi guys, anyone had a go at changing their wheel rim color with some sort of dye?how is it done and what to use?.....thanks

I've never done it, but I think you buy white wheels and clothing dye and let it soak.

I paint mine, sometimes It come out looking pretty good. Be sure to sand them a bit if you paint though.

You need to buy Rit brand dye at your grocery store or Walmart. It comes in liquid or powder form (I have used both). Get a big pot of water (old pot that you don't mind wrecking) bring water to a boil and add the dye. Put the wheels in but DON'T boil them. leave them in at least 10-15 minutes and then run cool water on them. Dye works great, it penetrates the plastic and will not scratch off. nitro power kid's dad
