I was looking at the RC micro-lights largest indoor RC meet, and a couple of the planes there had a 9v size 7.2v 110 mah Ni-Cd battery. i was wondering if anyone knew about this? weight? dementions? if not thats ok. I also saw that you guys were creating 12-16 in. planes with a 6 cell battery pack and the plane was under 3oz! at first i wondered how you did that butthen i sawa pick of your packs and it looked like you were using button batteries? if so, could you give me all the inf on these? i think this just solved my power problem!:D
thanks to everyone who responds, im glad that we can keep this forum going.......

Hi Friend,
The small batteries you are likely reffering to are either Sanyo 50 mah ni-cd cells or "double time" ni-mh battery cells. They are both the same size, and are the most popular choice for the micro models. Check the vendor links at RCMiroflight for sources.

The "9 volt" pack are sanyo AAAA 120 mah cells.
They can be found in GE rechargeable "9 volt" batteries.
ACE hardward is the only place that carries them around me.
They are MUCH better than the 110 or 150 mah cells.

Thanks Dave,
I was just at my hobby shopt oday and they has 50mah 1.2v Ni-Cd cylinder* cells that were about 1/2 in. long and 2/8 wide. Has anyone tried these? they felt kinda heavy to me but i dont know.
P.S. i just took some pictures or my MFT ( micro flying thing ) its not quite done but its getting there, i think ill have to recover the wings but i just tried flying it and the e-charger motor takes this guy up! wow. im going to put a one-channel system in it, i am sure it can handle the weight but im not sure what to run the reciever on? any suggestions? thanks guys
