Ice Storm Modena

I decided to see what would happen if I combined my 2 favorite schemes, a rip and lightening and I'm very happy with the results.

Main Body: Fasglitter Pearl, Fascolor Pearl backed with White. The pics dont show how it sparkles.
Rip: Silver edging, white lightening with blue fogging and black background.
Wing: Pearl Silver

I just painted lightning on a HPI corolla body but I used silver foged with gold and backed by black and charcoal. should get pics up pretty soon.

Very cool HM...I really like the large contrast between black and white...adds more of a shock value to the appearance and makes it stand out more.

Over the winter, I usually paint two to 4 bodies a week, depending on what people want and if I feel like painting. Right now I have about 10 bodies waiting to be painted, some which will go to customers, some which will be used for an article I am writing, and a few just for the LHS to have on hand. I have 5 other orders coming in, so I would imagine in the next two weeks, I'll paint 10 bodies.

:eek: :eek: :eek: (that smilie doesnt show how far my jaw dropped). killer work, HM. i only have one problem (if you can call it that) with that body. IMO, you should have painted the wing the same silver as the body. but other than that, that is one of the coolest bodies i've ever seen.

van, for the record, I agree with you, kind of. I should have used chrome actually, if not that then either black or Indy silver. The pearl silver is ok, it just doesn't "pop."

actually I have a personal body here I don't care if I blow it on so I might try it I already have a rip area masked on it that might look cool I got my tamiya lexan paint markers handy
