Hello I just started painting my first body with a airbrush.
I have put a light coat of fastchange blue on and it seems to be working but I don't see any blue in the tint. it's more of a light purple.
Should I continue painting more coats of fastchange or should I back it with a metalic blue?
thanks

Except you don't want to back it with blue if you used Faschange blue, since there will be no color change. While there are many ways to apply this stuff and I would invite you to experiment with different thick nesses and backing colors, there is a classic way is to use this paint. Let's assume you want a one color pearl white car with blue color changing effects. Take the prepped body and with the Faschange blue paint in your airbrush with a fine nozzle and the compressor cranked on high, apply a very thin coat of the Faschange paint. When you are spraying, go slow and make it even. Don't go back over areas or you risk putting on too much which will muddy the main body color. The general rule is, when it looks milky, you have applied too much. Use a hairdryer to dry the first coat and wait 30 minutes. Now it's time to apply the main pearl white body color. Simply spray this as you would a one color paint job, with 3 coats of pearl white paint and a backing coat of white or silver. That's it! Finish the body as you normally would.

Thank you Haunted that is just the info I was looking for.
Tis a good thing I left the body at work or I might have shot the blue on and ruined the color change affect.
I'll post my first paint job when finished.

I used the fas change blue and backed it with blue and got an awesome deep blue/purple color that varies from deep blue to a deep purple effect. Looks great in bright light. But best effect is by backing with and laternate color.
