View Full Version : Chameleon paint
Has anyone used this paint? It's normally extremely expensive but I saw a copycat brand at Wall Mart for about $20. The kit comes with three 8 oz cans; a base coat, the main coat and top coat. Since rc bodies are painted on the inside and viewed from the outside, would you apply the coats in reverse order? It's safe for automotive trim and plastic pieces so will it work on lexan? This paint would look sweet on an rc body.

I painted a HPI body with duplicolor mirage and it turned out pretty cool. You dont need to use the clear coat, the body works for that. just spray the mid color coat first and then the black base coat. I havent had any trouble with flacing.

i had better luck with the green and magenta then with the green and silver. just be sure to use two or three mid coats for a better effect.
