I RECENTLY ACQUIRED A PARTIALLY COMPLETED KYOSHO DC-3. THERE WERE NO SPECS AVAILABLE FOR THE MODEL. MY CALCULATIONS PLACE THE CG AT ABOUT 3 INCHES FROM THE LEADING EDGE AT THE FUSE. THE MODEL IS GOING TO REQUIRE ABOUT 1 1/2 LBS OF NOSE WEIGHT WITH THE CG AT THIS LOCATION. IF ANYONE HAS INPUT ON THIS SUBJECT, I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT. THANKS

Hello REDPIN,
Go halfway out the wing panel and measure 1/4 of the way back from the LE. Project this point straight in to the wing root. This will give a 25% CG which should be a safe place to start. If that takes a bunch of lead, so be it, the alternative is a bunch of colorful splinters.

 Regarding the dc-3 I have not finished mine yet the planes say [5.50"]back from leading edge of wing at fuselage.Be careful you might need to check engine thrust line up&down left&right as some of these kits came out of factory messed up ! Ive not finished mine yet because my thrust lines are all out of wack and need to be cut off and redune! GOOD LUCK MADDOG
