View Full Version : Losi XX Offroader...
Since I've started to get into Electrics, I've got a chance at getting a Losi XX with a mod motor, and a CRAP load of tires mounted on rims for a decent price... The wheels are all bearings (dont know if this is stock or not, but good to know)
Your opinions on this buggy?????
Someone must have owned an earlier Losi buggy???

KDD, We (me & 3 boys) have an assortment of xx's, xxt's, a xxx, a xxxt, a b3, & a t3, & 4 GT's. The xx is a good buggy, & in the right hands it can be made to be almost as fast as the xxx. The differance between the two isn't very noticable unless you race at a fairly high level. If the price is right, & your lhs stocks parts for it, it could be a good option to break into electrics without breaking the bank. It all depends on how serious you are about racing though. Since the xxx has been out for about three years, you don't see too many xx's at races anymore. You should be able to pick a decent xx up for about 1/3 the price of a new xxx.
Hope this helps.
Joe
Thanks....
thats the type of info I'm looking for..

ohhh.... In that case, the xx is good for you, but my advice is to get a cooler looking XXX. get it used if you are on a budget.

The XX is still a good race vehicle. My brother picked a used one up recently and has been racing it. I still have the issue of RCCA where they rated the XXcr "Kinwald Edition" ahead of the B3 in terms of performance. If you can get one at a good price, go for it.

I know they are about the second latest thing out. A guy at my track still races a T2, and another guy raced a XXT. I don't see why not race it. :) My DuraTrax Evader is basicly a XXT, and it does very well.

Thing is that some parts are not avlible for the XX any more. Cars liek the B2 still have parts avilible, if you can get one. Or you could just get a traxxas ruslter, stampede, bandit, there all cheap, durable and have great parts support.

Parts for the xxt just camr reaviable pretty much due to the fact that the evader is almost identical. Suspension arms and such things that break in races are avialible and look to be identical anyone know for sure? My LHS still carries tons of xx and xxt parts so its easy for me

Yes, Evader suspension arms are the same, as well as a few other parts.
