Hello everyone
I'm just about to start r/c boating and I have a truckload of questions that I hope some of you out there can answer
I've been given a display model of a Windy 11600. That's a Norwegian brand sport/day cruiser It's i 1:10 scale and that makes it 116 cm long. It's a off-shore vee-hull capable of 45 knots + with twin Mercruiser 502's (the real one :-) The complete hull and deck is made of fiber glass with white topcoat.
I have a weedwacker gas engine that I plan to power the boat with. It's about 20 ccm2 and with tuned pipe and perhaps a bigger carb, I hope it can produce about 2-2.5 hp, maby more.
Are there any of you guys who can tell me if this is enough power to bring the boat close to 20-25 mph?
Do'nt know how much the completed boat will weigh...sorry.
