I'm getting a new ST this summer and I haven't decided what to do with my old T3. I thought I'd get you guys to make the decision for me. I can think of three options:

1) Sell it

2)Don't sell it and keep it as a spare vehicle

3)Use it to see weather rc trucks can conduct 10.000 volts of direct electricity (just kiddin, he-he):D

Dude, keep it as a spare. I still have my T3 and wont get rid of it anytime soon. It's always nice to break out the electric and race with some buddies.

Best thing to do? Give it away to someone who needs one! I had my rustler that was pretty well modified with a lot of the parts that Traxxas offered, as well as RPM offered. I got my XXX, and then my Rustler started gathering dust. I robbed the electronics, so it just sat there, as a skeleton. My brother-in-law wanted a truck, and asked me for it constantly, but I felt that I could not let it go. It needed a lot of parts, and I felt it not worth it for him. I ended up toasting my Fusion ESC in my XXX, so I got a C2. I had a spare ESC now. So then he gets to talking about what he would do with it. I finally gave in, gave him my old timer charger, a near-dead P2K, and my toasted speed controller.

ESC Repair-25 bucks, and a little bit of time
Batteries-14 bucks a pack
Radio w/ 2 servos- 45 bucks

Total: about 80 bucks for a good truck, with dependable electronics that would give him a lot more fun than I would have had with it again. You can get that truck going again(Even though you probably robbed the electronics) for a little bit. I have seen that you can get the Futaba radio, with the Mc230CR speed controller, and one servo for 90 bucks. I have also seen motors for as cheap as 20 bucks a piece. You could make someone so happy and grateful for something that you would probably never use again, for very cheap.

Look around, is there someone you know that could have a good time with your old stuff?

Hmmm... Give it to someone who needs it. I'll have to add that to my options. Though I'm still considering the electricity thing... :D he-he

What truck are you getting?

I think you should keep it unless you don't have a bunch of other rc's to drive. If it just sits all the time, sell it. The T3 is still a very good truck. Hold onto it. :) If you later don't use it sell or donate it. Make sure to give it to someone who would keep it though. You don't want to see it up for sale the next week.

What truck am I getting? Hmmm... let see, one of the many versions of the XXXT, I haven't realy decided which one.

And don't you just hate when you give someone your old stuff cause they said they'll use it, and then they run out and sell it thinking you wont find out! Man, that just bothers me so much.

Oh, thanks for the advice.

Alla-I think you should get the Matt Francis Edition XXXT. They also stopped making the regular version of it too I heard. The MFE comes fully loaded with all the good upgrades too.

Yeah I was leaning towards the MFE too. One thing I alwase wondered about in the truck is why did they put red rims on it? Mat Francis uses yellow ones and I think it looks better that way.

Thing is that the graphite suspension parts are really weak on most all vehicles, I'd get eh regular one for the durablility, to bad they didnt have an even softer suspension for bashers..... :(

Yeah, I alwase prefer to buy a standard version and upgrade it myself the way I want it 2 be, even if it does cost a little more. Thing is I'm short on both money and time. I wanna start racing real soon and dont have time to research and order all the stuff myself, but I want some good hop ups on my car when I start racing so I'll proabably end up buying the MFE. I wish I could upgrade the truck from the start though. :(

Alla-Maybe you could find a regular version one somewhere. About the red parts, if you look on Matt's real truck, you will see that he doesnt have all the stuff that the MFE version has. They just went with the red theme though.

No, No, I've seen it done on that Fox Sports Net show "You Gotta See This". There were on the top of a two story building and they had a jump on the edge. They got up some speed and jumped off. If they only would've correcter in mid-air. They had the trottle pegged the whole way down. The truck rotated over backwards and laned upside down. Broke both shock towers, body mounts and flattened the body like a pancake. Nitro engine was ok though.

Wow thats pretty little damage for a two story crash.

Where did it land? Pavement? Grass? Sand?

Yeah, I was surprised too. It landed on an asphalt parking lot, but you could hear the crunk when it landed on the video camera, 20 yards away.
