Has anyone been using the motor or anything else from the Cox freeflight electric plane I have seen at WalMart? It looks similar to the E-Chargers plane, but costs a little more... Just wondering if anything there would be useable as RC gear.

all the cox free flight planes I've gotten were larger than the e chargers planes. Do they have some new ones out. I've taken apart the viper and one called the sky bot(haven't seen that one in stores for a while) and both of them had the same motor and a 2 cell battery pack. I wasn't impressed with the motor when I hoooked it up to a 6cell so I replaced it with a gws motor and used the prop that came with the plane and that pulled much better. I used two of the 2 cell battery packs wired together for a receiver pack. the part of the plane that is most usable for electric rc would be the body.

I'm pretty sure what I saw was new; It looked like a somewhat nicer version of the E-chargers planes (twice the price at 19.95). I assume this is Cox's answer to E-Chargers... I don't remember the name though... The 'Viper' sounds too extreme for what I saw.

I'll keep checking wal mart. They wern't there yesterday(I check for new planes every time I go). Do you remember the wingspan or anything? hope they are new planes. other than some new e charger designs I haven't seen any thing new there in a while.
