Measure the axles and see if the are near the same size as these for the RC10GT http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAV74&P=7
&
XXX-NT or NXT i had ones for the NXT and they fit in my XXX-NT
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXAX40&P=7

and a little longer wont hurt but only alittle.

There is a guy selling "unbreakable" axles for the MST-1 on ebay. I purchased a set and installed them on the truck. I have not had a chance to see if they are "unbreakable". He did say that if I did break one he would replace it. They are fairly spendy at $40 per set. So at this point, all I can say is that they fit well.

They're on ebay. The guy's username is donnyhu. He also sells the brass idler gears.

Hey guys, I just got my MST-1. I got it off of ebay for 300.00 w/ mt12 brand new. Some people have told me that the rear hub carriers are weak, and there are some tranny problems? If that is true, what can I do to fix it???

Get the 1 degree aluminum rear uprights, aluminum front suspension mount and the brass idler gear for the tranny. I have also done away with the mugen diff rings and replaced them with the MIP rings for the GT. You will need to dremel out the center a little untill they fit, but they last much longer. If you can find some tungston diff balls I suggest getting them as well. I have had this set up in my diff for as long as I can remember and have not had any problems at all.

To help with the axle breaking problem get the aluminum drive hexs. When you install them take off the washer behind the pin. The hexs are offset to eliminate the washer. Or you can gewt some "unbreakable" ones off of ebay every now and then. I have seen them for $40 and for $25, they're both the same.

Good luck with the truck. If you need any advice shoot me an e-mail. I'll do what I can for you.

I may have the chance to pick up an MST-1 fairly inexpensively. Is everyone happy with theirs? or would I be better off with a Losi XXX-NT?

Thanks!

Ive had three in the last year.I love this truck, with the right set up.Its alot tougher than a Losi and a little heavier, which I think helps the truck to stay planted..

Os tr is a great engine I've had two of them i paid 140.00 for them nothing but good stuff to say about them from me but .what can i say it's a os always starts ,easy to tune,All the power I need to hit the jumps if it's tuned right!! The mt12 is a great engine also costly for a little more power not worth it if you have'nt been driven for at least two to three years your crash more also it's harder to get tuned ,also,If this is your first kit a money saver is the cv I know I know no body want a os cv but it great engine I know people that race it and do well good luck p.s you don't want a silde carb get the rotary carb

Lapster: You can get the carbon fiber radio tray @ www.ratzas.com

I seems to have problem with my MST front end (it broken, again). As you can see, the MST front end is more or less the same as the XXXNT as the part where the front kickup is joint to the chassis unlike the RC10GT, which is part of the chassis. I seems to be breaking the front quite often ans I am just wondering if anyone have the same problem and if there any hopup for that.

Cheers

hi, I got a mst-1 with the engine about a week ago. Now its all pt together and ready for a race., I havent races a nitro 1/10th scale truck yet so , im pretty excited. The nearest offroad trake to me, is KZ speedway, and i was wondering if any of you guys have raced there with your mst-1's. If so, what set up are u guys using. As far as track conditions, well, i know its a very rough , and also very large track.

thanks.

Hi all! I dont normally bother with this forum stuff but I feel I have no option now. My problem is the idler gear in my mst1, stripping the teeth off it. It has happened countless times and twice in the past 3 tanks of fuel!!I always run the car offroad, so there is going to be some give in the tire traction, my slipper is always set at a minimum of 2 1/2 turns out, gears are always lubed with good grease, I dont let the car land on the ground with any throttle on, the trasmission always runs nice after a rebuild, (which happens far too often). I need to fix this problem before I throw my mst under a moving bus. Does anyone know where i can get some aftermarket transmission parts, as I have searched everywhere and cant find zip! Nobody makes anything for this truck, that i can find..Other than this, the truck is awesome!!! Somebody please make some aftermarket transmission parts for the mst-1!!!
Hardcore!!! HG!!! Kimbrough!!! please!

the only diff mod i have been doing is, ae gt diff rings dremelled out to fit and ceramic balls in the diff and thrust assy. makes the diff last a whole lot longer than stock.
