why do motors actally nead capacitors? does stop the motor over-heating?

Mainly it will help damp the arcing effect, and thus less glitching.

the motor makes electronic "noise" that can interfere with your radio system. capacitors eliminate this noise and keep your motor from making your radio system glitch. u should always install capacitors on your motor, there are even some that come with capacitors already installed as a part of the endbell. hope this helps,
