Does anybody know where to find prop adapter for the GWS motors that come with the LiteStik. I believe it's a 1.5mm shaft.

Depends on what prop you are trying to put on. http://www.toddsmodels.com has some, for example, one to adapt an APC prop to the GWS gearbox shaft. If you are trying to put a prop straight on the GWS motor he also has GWS rubber push on adapters, and some others with rubber spinners built in.

So, the prop adapter he has will fit the 1.5mm shaft? I thought it was for 280 motors(2mm shafts?) I order a prop adapter from aero-micro( a GWS-DS002) just to see it and see if I might be able to make one for the 1.5mm shafts. The one I see on Todds site is for 2.3mm shafts(Speed 400?) I'm needing to fit the motor shaft as I believe I can size the hole in the prop how ever i need.
Am I on the right track?

Since my very apparent lack of communication skills has become evident, please allow me a second attempt at my question. I saw this at the Aeromicro site...
http://www.aeromicro.com/Catalog/gws_stainless_propeller_adapter__gw_ds002__for_spe ed_280_and_370_motor_shaft_1020455.htm
What I want is a propeller shaft to put on the GWS motors with the 1.5mm shafts(EDP-50) The one I have linked above is for "280" motors with 2mm shafts.
Does any one know if such an "animal" exist?
Sorry for the confusion.

Hi McCrabby,
If you are trying to increase the diameter of the shaft to fit a prop with a larger hole, I have had good success winding thin scotch tape around the shaft until the diameter matches. If you are looking for a shaft of a different size for the IPS gearbox, I have no clue.

I don't know about the Aeromicro adapters, and the link won't work for me. But, here's a link to Todd's Models here (http://www.toddsmodels.com/propadapter.htm). His site states that the GWS prop with spinner has 2 each of 1.5mm, 2.0mm, and 2.3mm shafts. Below it is another adapter without the spinner that has 6 each for 2.0mm and 2.3mm shafts. Both sets of adapters are for GWS props with 4mm bores. If you are using a 4mm bore GWS prop, the GWW spinner adapter will do the job. If you don't need/want the spinner, cut it off. If you can size your prop to any size, just drill it to slightly under 4mm.

Thanks gjohnson, but I think Dave R. has summed it up. what I need isn't out there yet. I am looking for what Todd has on this page, http://www.toddsmodels.com/propadapter.htm
(ACC325) except I need it to fit a 1.5mm shaft. I may just have to find a machine shop to make it for me. ..or just go buy that lathe I've always wanted:D

I still don't know what prop you are trying to put on a 1.5mm shaft. If you are trying to put one of the newer 5x5 CF reinforced props Todd sells, yes, the bore is too large for the rubber push on GWS adapters (I have that prop and the adapters). But, anyway, BMC model producs in Baltimore http://www.bmcproducts.com/ makes a variety of prop adapters. Todd used to carry some of them, and Cloud 9 still does. He will custom make prop adapters, and has made some for me in the past. He can probably help you.

g johnson,
you have to forget about props for a minute. I am only speaking about prop shafts. I want to attach a prop adapter to a gws motor with the 1.5mm shafts. This will lengthen the shaft, and also allow replacement of broken or ineffective props with out having pressed on and cya'd props to deal with. I have found the smallest being for 2mm shafts so far.
This was my first post with a question as researching the entire forum did not find anything. I usually get all my answers here, its a great program, I love it. It will be found, or I will make it.
Thanks for you help, Did I explain myself any clearer at all?

There was an article in a recent Electric Flight International on motor shaft extensions. That might be useful to you. If I remember right one method involved wheel collars and rods that could slip over the motor shaft. My confusion probably stemmed from the fact that you titled this thread "Prop Adapters", referred to prop adapters in your first post, and said you assumed you could drill the prop out to any diameter required. Sorry:)
